New Kislev style minis
« on: March 16, 2010, 03:07:36 PM »
Dunno if this has been posted or not (I apologize if it has)
But Dwarf Tales is making some very nice Hussar sculpts that would make great heroes (or champs) in a kislev force *link*

Poked around a little and found this...

Nice figures, though the obvious problem being that they're not on horses.

Word on the street is that they are rather big though, so I'd try to get some actual measurements to see if they're compatible.

Very nice. I'd never head of them before now. Seems like there's more and more great stuff coming out of Poland of late. Scibor are Polish too, but their minis are cast in resin, these claim to be white metal.

I'll let you know how they measure up to regular empire miniatures, hopefully if they're on the big side it'll only be as much as GW figures already are...! I'm looking forward to painting the model whatever the scale, and besides, they breed 'em big in Kislev!

Hopefully that last bit won't sound too suspect upon further reading...  :dry:

All of the 'Kislev' minis you'd want are manufactured by Assault Group http://www.theassaultgroup.com/ although they are given fictional names such as Russians and Polish.

A fantasy mini female with actually realistic body proportions! That's awesome! Great!!

... but Heresy!  ::heretic::

Seriously, though, the minis are great!  :Ohmy:

I've posted a size comparison here http://www.warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=6724.75 if you're wondering how out of scale the models might be. He's definitely more imposing but I wouldn't say he's at all out of proportion with the GW figures. Pretty quick delivery (to the UK anyway) if you're considering buying from them...!

Looking at the detail on them, they look to be 30mm ish, so ever so slightly too tall.

And it's surprising how much of a difference those few mm make!
