Two questions abut detachments
« on: April 25, 2012, 05:36:41 PM »
1. If a detachments parent unit is destroyed or flee, that does not mean the the detachment automatically is destroyed or flees correct? They become their own unit at this point, right? (after they pass their break test for having  a friendly unit flee within six inches).

2. When calculating score resolution, you count up the number of points for units that fled off the table or were destroyed (plus the bonuses). If a detachment dies but the parent company survives, do you add those detachment cost points to score resolution? If a detachment survives but a parent unit is destroyed, do you add those points for the parent unit or does the enemy have to destroy/flee the detachment as well?
Don't underestimate a halfling, their ladle will do a number on your stomach, and on your head.

1) Detatchments are always their own unit. They just get some benefits if they are within 3" of their parent...regimental unit.
They most certainly do not get destroyed just because their regimental unit does.

2) Again, the detatchment and the regimental units are two entirely separate units. They are worth their own VP.
