cheating?
« on: June 28, 2007, 05:52:31 PM »
Fellow Generals:

I am a bit confused. Is there anything that will keep our opponents from cheating if they can register more than 1 victory a day?

GW said they would keep an eye on unusual accounts.  After running a few campaigns they know the signs of a cheating account.  But, nothing is full proof, so not really.  They should be able to clamp down on the big time offenders though.

I just posted this elsewhere - but I'll repeat here.  For day one of the campaign a few people had already posted 7 victories, its now day two and one guy has 14 victories already!  It seems a little fishy (or perhaps I'm just jealous as I've only had one game so far and it was a loss...)

Well, he could have played the games in the weeks leading up to the campaign and is just posting them now. There is always talk of cheating. I just worry about the games I play. Just a thought...

i didnt think it was allowed to count games played before the start couse if you did what would be the time limit,i just think its shady couse all this guys victorys have been massicures other than one solid victory, and all his battle reports are in jibberish, for both sides

The guy might have 7 different emails and has made 7th different armies. He posts all massacres for one army and confirms battles with his other account. He ends up winning the #1 Rank. He can have it for all I care. He will not have the ability to affect fluff that we will in a united front.

Now that italian Orc player has 22 straight victories online....you got to be kidding me.

Or is it that I am a bad supporter of the Empire for I have only two massacres done yet...

Maybe I would put aside suspicious about those 22 straight wins... but it is 22 straight Massacres!!!
I'm curious if cheaters like that italian player can affect storyline of campaign... is there any GW policy over NC?

If someone is found to be cheating, their battles will still show up, but not counted.  Check the bottom of this page for details:

Actually, if you'll notice, we are FIRST right now, with our noble Bretonnian allies in second!

Huzzah!  For The Lady and for Sigmar!

Walters are in 3rd.  We also have the most battles reported!

So, Ostmarkers wear purple, but it's manly purple, not like that Bretonnian purple.

Oh, log in and go to the "War Room".  All the army standings are there, overall and region by region.

We have gone down to second, and the Dark Elves are now first!

I would like to note there seems to be a monstrously cheating Chaos player in our US Region.

And we are beating him.  :icon_mrgreen:

Empire is First overall and first in the US, at least as of a few mintues ago.

I think I know who you mean, Leetsauce Jeff, right? Check his opponents:

Commander name:     Army name:
nick                        nick
eric                        eric
jake                        jake
andrew                    andrew
jim                          jim
mike                        mike
Jeff                         Jeff
Bob                         Bob
Patty                       rofls
eric                          eric

And all massacres....
Well, it's just sad.

i think that wat gw should have done, is made it only ONE battle report per account from the player and against the player.

that would have stopped alot of this
