First half of 7th started honest enough. Midway through it flipped and became a power race.

In terms of GW WHFB business practices their 6th ed. was a rare drive for actual game balance. Only near the very end did army books start to exhibit their almost customary (in other editions) power creep.

7th edition rules were fine, but got wrecked by totally absent balance between armies. iirc.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.
