Yeah, they were no longer producing those models in 2007.  I sold the book for something like $60!

I have a crate upstairs, treated myself to the original boxed game that i think had Outlanders scenery even if not the book (printed pdf) and a whole load of bric a brac to make my own scenery. Only had Orlocks, Goliaths (plastic) and a few Spryers. Might be time to dust it off. And a new gang might be enough to get me into a GW.

In Poland you can actually get Necro models for a very reasonable prices, but occasionaly some dude will try and sell his gang for a kidney or liver. Still, I will be hunting for more Orlocks, Goliaths and Spyrers, as well as some mercs.

So glad I backed the mad terrain kickstarter with news of Necromunda coming back. Infinity terrain is fine for Necromunda, it might be bright and anime style but the models are very cartoony and you don't need to tie yourself to the grimdark at all if you don't want to.

Interesting! Any chances for showing pics or sending up a link? :smile2:

Haven't received that one yet. Also backed:

Both of which I've received but not had time to make yet. Hoping to move house this year and then have time and a proper space to do it.

Those look great!

It also makes me glad I jumped on GW's Imperial City a few years back.

Interesting, so it seems it'll be a board game with figures.

Likely just like Shadespire and that gladiator game they put out. (Gorechosen?) They've had a fair bit of good interest with those.

It's two games, the board game and an updated version of the old skirmish game.

As an Infinity player I'm hoping it goes big, inject more players into the sci-fi skirmish scene. Plenty of crossover with terrain and whatnot.

The prices seem fairly decent and the quality of the models is top notch. Shame that they are a bit bigger than the old ones.

I cannot find the prices for Necromunda yet. Gorechosen was fairly priced. Shame the game itself was not something I wanted to buy.

Probably 175-200 Aus. A bit expensive for the content, will need to see more.

900 swedish is a bit much

I was hoping for something I could buy and star playing with my 8-year old but I guess we will stick with basic 8th 40K.

I love the Escher and Goliath gangs! My son love the brutish looking Goliaths who remind him a bit about orks. Would make for some nice alternative Catachans. At the very least getting one Goliath to construct your own Sgt Harker should appeal to catachan fans.

I am considering the Eshers to make a Guards veteran squad, since they got lasguns and you can mix in a shotgun. A Goliath as a heavy weapon trooper in Try Bragg style maybe. Or make a sergeant for my Tanith minis from the Eschers as Tona Criid.

I've heard a rumor about the scale of these. Does anyone know if they're the same as the old ones? I'm only interested in getting them for conversion reasons. I'll be irked if they are larger than any of the current IG kits.

If they are out of scale it would irk me too, Rows.

The Goliaths could still work as catachans but the Eshers would not work.

Let us both pray to the Emperor the scale matches the present scale of the IG

It looks like the separate Rulebook is £17 English - which is where I think I will go.
Not sure how they will introduce other gangs either - I have some IG Veterans I built years ago using old Necromunda metal backpacks and guns with plastic bodies - mainly Catachans, which could easily be usable.

The blurb suggests that it is slightly different to the one in the box, as it says something about 'Building a Gang' is different, but it also allows for 3D gaming so if you have any buildings for say Mordheim you could probably utilise those for some form of cityscape.

What I am interested in is how it differs from, or is compatible with, Shadow War

I think the basic rules in the box will be needed. Gang warfare is a supplement adding 3D and other advanced features.

It seems to be a more modern ruleset with unit cards etc so I do not think it is compatible with Shadow war:Armageddon at all. That game was based on the old Necromunda rules and the new ones are different.

I think I will try Shadow war with my son first. He wants to do Orkz so that is perfect.

Ya gang warfare is a different supplement all about the progress of your gang and 3d battles. Not the main rulebook.

I heard a rumour that the models are slightly bigger then the old necromunda, but people have told me they should be the same size as the current range. I hope so, I'd also thought about using them as a veteran squad. The Escher chemical flamer thing would make a fun flamer, not to mention shotguns, autoguns and lasguns.

You need the box and the supplement to play the Necromunda from the 90s.

$199 AUD for that, like I predicted. The gangs are $70 each which is close to reasonable these days, I mean it's only $1 more than Goldswords from back in the day and these are miles better. As for scale, the Escher are on 25mm bases so they should be fine, but the Goliath are on 32mm so they are likely halfway between space marines and primaris, great if you're playing a world near Ogryn worlds but otherwise useless.

I'll read a review of the new rules before I get anything.
