Thanks guys.
I have managed to stay productive during the month despite being busy and tired. I have gotten around to paint a couple of more Conan standout minis, a couple of Conan skull pyramids and a group of Warhammer Spirit hosts.
I should look into getting a better camera or something.
I had a lot of fun painting Skuthus the Necromancer. Although he doesn't show up in person in any of the original Conan stories he is supposed to have been one of the formidable ones.
The Grey Man Ape was almost as fun to paint as Skuthus. I decided to give it a dark bluish hide to contrast with its grey fur. I was a bit hesitant about the idea at first, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. The monkey butt was also oddly fun to paint.
I have also painted a Spirit Host for Age of Sigmar. I was not sure how I wanted them to look at first and I didn't want them to look like generic green, blue or grey ghosts. So I settled on giving them a blue base colour that I washed with purple and highlighted with thinned out white. I like the otherworldly look they ended up with.
It's been a bit since seeing this thread last, and wanted to let you know that those demons back there are excellent.
As are the Bretonnian Ghouls!
I'm thinking of maybe touch up a couple of the demons at some point. I really should get around to make more ghouls. I had the itch to make a bunch of zombies by kitbashing with the Warlord Games Landsknechts and Mantic's zombies. I'm thinking of making one zombie for every Empire province of the Old World.
Very cool vamp! I could have a brew with him at the local pub and hear his perspective 😸
I'm sure that he would have some interesting philosophies on a wide selection of subjects after a drink or two. All of them probably being very morbid though, as expected of a Necrarch vampire.
Very nice! Very dirty and dingy.
I do prefer my undead to look like they have been grave robbing or something.
Goofy? These guys are creepy af!
That's my view too. The idea of an undead Bugs Bunny fills me with dread.
