Eurobash 2009 - Registration topic
« on: March 19, 2009, 08:33:53 AM »
THIS TOPIC IS FOR REGISTRATION ONLY

Ok, the Eurobash 2009 topic is getting pretty full now and there is no clear overview of the people that will be attending. This topic will be only for registration so we can get an idea of how many people will be in Belgium this august. This might be useful for the reservation of our accomodation and for getting enough beer and food (and maybe some soda/softdrinks) I will keep this topic up to date with all the people that will attend.

Please state if you will be attending, (or are not sure but might want to participate) and where you are from (this is nice for the statistics and to compaire it to last year)

Dates: - August 14th - August 16th inclusive  Yes 3 days :icon_wink:

Venue: - St Niklaas (Very close to Antwerp)

After a quick overview these people will (or want to) attend this year:

I'll be there list
warhammerlord_soth (Belgium)
Midaski (UK, England)
rufus (UK)
Fr1day (UK)
Finlay (UK)
LochNESS (The Netherlands)
Cisse (Belgium)

I want to be there list
Shadowwolf (Sweden) I'm afraid not, but I'd love for him to come...
Shadowlord (Sweden)
MrDwhitey (UK, Wales)
Aldaris (Germany)
McKnight (Denmark) Probably not, but I'd love to go
Obi (The Netherlands)
Brionne (The Netherlands)

Useful websites for planning your trip
* Deutsche Bahn Railway planner (in English) -> Best is to take a train to Sint Niklaas (Belgium) This website is the best available in Europe, just fill out from where and when you want to depart and where you want to arrive (and what time) and it shows you the best way to get there.
Railway Planner
* Zavetem Airport (Brussels International Airport)
Brussels Airport
* Charleroi Airport (Brussels South Airport) This airport is much further away (29 minutes by train more) but a lot of discount airliners fly to this airport

I just might. Not sure if I'll be able to extend my August vacation this long... If I come it'll be from Stuttgart, Germany. Just in case anybody else is from around there.

14.-16. August apparently. This should be modded into the topic titles, or at least into the first posts of those topics. Along with the name of the place.

I've edited the first post a bit.

The 2008 UK team all currently seem interested in returning.

We're even trying to shake up a second car, and I have 'mentioned' it to the likes of Badwolf and Richard de Clare.

We're planning on travelling Thursday August 13th and coming back Monday August 17th.
The general idea seeing people filter towards the south east.

Of course it would be really embarrassing if more Brits were there than any of the other continental European countries .................. :icon_wink:

.......... oh wait did that happen last year .................

Ah yes those were the bad dates... hmmm it is not very likely that i will have time to attend the bash on those dates if i start at university late august... need to move and all that. And the financial situation is also bad at that time i think...

If Shadowlord would give a ride it would take care of that problem atleast... but I still lean towards a no from me... unfortunately... it seems like it will be even better than last year!

Please put me on the "want to come list," Lochness. I'm not sure I can attend.

I've just resurrected this as there are a few more names in this, than currently in the sticky - maybe I'll merge the two in a while.

It's just over two months - 14th August and the numbers are looking poor this year - I hope people are not just assuming, because it happened last year, then don't worry it will happen this year ...............

Of course,

Given enough interest, we'll make it happen.

It's just that we need to start making reservations....

I would love to come, but I'm stuck up in the Northeast of England so I'm not sure how to get there.

Well if Finlay doesn't come there will be a spare seat up for auction - so you and MrDW can see who can get to Sussex fastest ...................
