Eurobash 2015 Event planning and details (OPEN TO ALL !)
« on: December 31, 2014, 07:11:41 AM »
Thursday May 14th, Friday May 15th, Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th

(The Thursday and Friday being a public holiday in Belgium) MOST PEOPLE WILL ATTEND GAMING FRI/SAT/SUN so far, travelling on Thursday.

So participants may choose what days they wish to attend -  people can attend the first two days or the last two days or all four days - up to you.

Venue will again be St Niklaas, in the HQ clubhouse.

After the experiences of previous years I am certain that we will stay at the Ibis Hotel in the centre of St Niklaas.
It is 5 minutes walk from the gaming venue and there are plenty of bars within staggering distance.

Attending:

Possibles

If you wish to be added to the list, please post in the thread and I will update as we get closer.
To help me negotiate a good deal at the Hotel, it would be helpful if people confirm as soon as they can, and what days they are likely to attend.

Several people may be travelling to the venue on Wednesday 13th and leaving on Monday May 18th
However not everybody is staying all 5 nights.

We would expect a twin room to be about 75e (for the room, so split in 2) and hopefully including breakfast (although we didn't get that deal anymore last year, but fear not, Ye shall not go hungry) - which is served until 10.00am, and for many of us did for lunch as well.
Otherwise apart from travel cost, it's an evening meal and beers.

'Gaming intensity' is entirely up to you - in previous years some people have played 3 games a day, and others one.

Since this event has been running for some years now, and some of us got to know eachother quite well over the years, I imagine it could be a bit daunting to newer forum members. However I want to stress that everyone is welcome, accomodation permitting... (If a hundred of you come, I've got a problem... :icon_lol: )

Do you even need to ask?

I can't tell the exact length of my stay yet, but barring the apocalypse I'll be there. Of course!

Well it looks very likely that I will not be able to drive this year, so the UK people need to address the issue of transport.

However that could be a positive thing - where maybe we can finally push numbers up to 5 or more and make two cars viable.

I'd love to but getting from Canada to Belgium with no money is... interesting to say the least.

But take lots of pictures! It's always a blast going through the thread afterwards and seeing all the fun that's been had.

Still coming but just not driving?

I have been banned temporarily and it is likely to stretch to 6 or 12 months.

So, what's it like receiving a ban? Hehehe

Obviously I'll be coming.

You are coming, because Midaski is banned?  :-D
It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.

I am sorry to hear that, Midaski. I hope that you recover quickly and that the ban is truly only temporary. You are in my prayers.

Why is Commandante an ex-pat and me a Holland?
I'd rather be an Alpine or Cote d'Azur.

Probably I will you to. I'm not sure I will come all the days.

Maybe Soth, you can organise a strongman competition during the Eurobash?

How does going from declaring to be a probable make you a definite?  :closed-eyes:
