New Imperial Guard tank rolls in!

Quote
The new Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is a behemoth of a vehicle, perfectly suited for smashing enemy positions and anchoring defensive lines. Its heavy armour gives it durability worthy of the Praetorian’s name, while its powerful engines ensure it doesn’t fall behind squadrons of Leman Russ Battle Tanks.

Preview is up of the new special Imperial Guard character, and a look at the codex.

Quote
As the Lord Commander Solar, Arcadian Leontus sits among the highest echelons of the Imperium, boasting an unimaginable roll of titles, peerages, ranks, and probably a whole gaggle of attendants tasked solely with ensuring that his horse has enough cyber-hay.

With an army of logistical advisers, priests, tacticians, tarot readers, prophets, seers, confidants, and sub-commanders at his beck and call, Lord Solar Leontus is personally responsible for hundreds of stunning Imperial victories. Though his remit is technically confined to the defence of the Segmentum Solar, Leontus has led campaigns far beyond its boundaries. How else, he argues, can he protect Holy Terra from distant foes?

His steed Konstantin* is decades old, now largely cybernetic and clad in gleaming armour. From this lofty perch, Arcadian Leontus commands the men and women of the Astra Militarum as they endure horrifying battles in their mission to protect the Imperium from the heretic, the mutant, and the alien.

Its a bit of a different tone eh? I think its the same thing again for me, where the model is fine but the paint scheme just isn't doing anything for me. I generally avoid special characters in my 40k army any, and dude on horse doesn't super match the WWII era Canadians I've got going on.

The "cybernetic" (is that even a word or just some sort of GW speak?) horse reminded me of the mechanical horse for Empire with WFB.

The rider's crest on his helmet ... reminds me of the stormcrud thinga-magigs.

He's a (the?)Lord Solar so he's got the same kinda Roman(?) Emperor vibe that the Macharius model had, between the two though I do prefer Macharius over this guy.

We haven't gotten to 10th edition yet, and so this is placed here ...

New Sisters, 1000 Sons, and Custodes are getting new Boarding Patrol boxes.

 https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/03/14/new-boarding-patrols-sighted-for-the-adepta-sororitas-thousand-sons-and-adeptus-custodes/

No interest here in any of those.  When I even recently bought the starter set with Sisters in it, I split the ladies from it and let someone else buy them.

Apparently Dante is returning to the Blood Angels in a Primaris sized figure ...

 https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/03/16/the-legendary-commander-dante-crosses-the-rubicon-primaris/

Supposably there was a figure "accidentally" released to some one, and the guy painted him up in a high end way.  Not convinced it was an accident when the painter that received him has such skill as shown form the pictures released.

And this video was released from GW this morning ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzWuBDlFYsM

With 10th Edition arriving and GW moving full speed ahead with marketing, we have probably seen the last of 9th.
