High Elfy question

I asked this over at ulthuan.net but I was wondering if you guys could help me.  :-D

I'm intrigued by The Radiant Gem of Hoeth. As you are aware this grants you the abilities of a Level 1 High Elf Mage.

Now my question is: does this allow you access to Arcane Items for the character? The Silver Wand is the main object I'm after here (extra spell . . .) but there are a few others I'm interested in.

On the one hand the model doesn't have "Wizard" in his profile just a magical shiney brooch but it's not a bound spell, you are in fact a Mage . . .

So can you take The Radiant Gem of Hoeth and then take Arcane Items?

I seem to remember the answer to that one was 'no'.

Have you checked direwolf on this ?

Not yet - but this is marvellous, the answer that's just been posted on ulthuan.net is "yes"!  :icon_lol:

Personally I'm really notsure (and would be fine either way)

Will look up the FAQ and Direwolf forthwith.

I do not have my friend's army book to hand - but what you may want to consider is - does buying the radiany gem and then the wand cost more than simply upgrading a mage?

So you become a level 1 mage? Does that mean your character also gives you the +1 to dispell boon?
