Apologies if this has been asked already, I did attempt to use the search function and read the latest faqs and came up short.

If I cast battle just on a regimental unit does the frenzy and hatred given pass to the detachments? The rules are somewhere around 284-285 of the BRB.

Yes in the case of frenzy and hatred.

But not in the case of other spells.
