Eurobash 2009
« on: December 17, 2008, 06:05:16 PM »
Well, since all the other bashes are starting threads already, I thought it might be time for us to kick in to action too. I believe our monkey offered to see if he could fix something? If not, who could fill in? I might, but that of course depends on the date. Shall we pick mid July again? Anyways, we need to start getting ideas and fixing stuff- otherwise the stupid Americans will have more participants than we will, and we can't have that, can we?

REMINDER :

Ok, some homework for the campaign participants!

Make four army lists, WITHOUT characters. The list should be of 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 points, one of each, troops only, with the normal amount of special and rare choices avaliable.

Having this finished and ready will speed up play immesurably when we get down to it, and I'm sure you will have a lot of time traveling there (at least I will) when you do nothing anyway.

Unless it's in the period of the 12th to 26th of july, I'm definitely in.

Where? Belgium is nice and central, no?  :engel:

Yes, but we made it the Eurobash...

Remember how the americans said a Euro would never be worth more than a dollar ?

I would be happy to host this again, but would prefer August this year... I really need to take An on holiday...
There's a nice extended weekend in August I believe....

Nope, sure don't.  And this isn't really the place for a bragging rights thread.

Any thread is the place for a bragging rights thread...

I'll gladly recognise the fact that the first Bash was held in America, by a fine selection of outstanding gentlemen, well versed in the rules of Warhammer, carrying army cases full of resplendant figures and having battles of epic proportions. Oh, and I think you were there too...  :icon_wink:

Under that description, there were very few people at our Bash. :icon_lol:  I'm a writer not a painter.  And thanks to the board, I'll have a painted army so nyah.  :-P

I believe PM mentioned a town in germany named Altdorf.  :icon_razz: I also recall there was a general agreement among the eurobashers for the next bash to be held there, but that was half a year ago and things change :-)

Germany is also closer to Sweden, and I would rather play more days than I travel.  :closed-eyes: (and sleep, *chough*)

I also believe the country chosen would have to be able to supply beer, which Belgium did very well.

And america didn't invent bashing! Bush I can give you credit for, but I'd say we europeans take the bashing a lot more seriously and that there weren't a REAL bash before (or after  :icon_cool: ) the Eurobash 2008! I mean, we even had T-shirts! How Imba-uber isn't THAT!

And we'll have to make sure everyone knows what kind of army lists to choose BEFORE they start traveling  :icon_wink:

I reckon the location of the last bash in Belguim would be good again.

Why break a winning formula, or something like that.

Germany has got a town called Sigmaringen too!
And many of the smaller towns that can be found on the imperial maps have german equivalents. Germany is also able to provide good beer. (And i would not have to travel too far with a bit of luck ;))

I was stationed during my Bundeswehr time in Sigmaringen....well this never occured to me during that time.

This Bash I want to be with you guys....even though I will attract laughter because of my non or badly painted army.

Hmm I just think Altdorf was mentioned as a cool place to hold it... But i would much rather in Belgium. Altorf is in the middle of Nürnberg, the most southern state of Germany.. It will take longer for us all to travel there.

hehe and Shadowwolf... you could just pay attention to our campaign plans haha

More=better. Don't get me into my 2 hour debate with people at school again.

But Altdorf would be great, and I must say soth did a great job and the location was good- but I think he doesn't have to host all of them, if you know what I mean.
