We just watched the last two episodes last night. Really loved the series. Almost from the start I was talking about the soundtrack. They're apparently planning to release a soundtrack.

Also, I now want to get a couple of friends together for an oldschool D&D campaign.  :-D

Just started it myself. I've been meaning to for awhile but never found the time. Watched the first one today while I was doing some paper work stuff and got hooked. Looks fantastic already.

My wife and I enjoyed picking out all of the 80s references. Someone has put together a video with side by side comparisons. We disagree on a few, and had a few others that aren't in the video, but most are what we picked up on too. Good to know we weren't just making it up for the sake of nostalgia.

watched one epiusode of stranger things with the wife. Good enough to carry on, presumably it gets better!

I think my knowledge of 80s films is probably not quite good enough to fully enjoy it though

(( Hey  Findlay ,

It does get better.   It keeps that slow burn feel to it... and Stranger Things reminded me a lot of Twilight Zone and Elfin Lied.

It's cool how at 8 episodes, it tells a chilling and creepy story.  And I like how the "villian" isn't standard. ))

Great, now I'll be wondering all night what the common denominator is between those two. :-)

Just watched the first 3 episodes of "Stranger Things."  Its really good.  Like if Spielberg and Stephen King had a baby in the 80s.  The intro music itself is awesome.

Thanks! I'll give it a try when I get the chance.

Stumbled across "The 100" recently. I don't get it. Does it have anything worthwhile that I should keep looking for? Except for lots of ruggedly handsome people killing each other, of course. That's obvious.

Several of my friends are fans of it. I've been told season 2 is better then season 1, but I never got into it myself.

I just finished Season 2 of Marco Polo on Netflix and stranger things. I'm about to start something called Johnathon Strange and Mr. Norrell, but I know nothing about other then "English wizards during Napoleonic war" fantasy show.

How good is Mr. Robot? I've heard mixed things about it and I want to try something new...

Mr Robot was kinda good, but we stopped watching it after 4 episodes I think, so we mustn't have enjoyed it too much.

Stranger things was great.

the 100 looks absolutely shite.

Strange and Mr Norrel looks fun, I think Rufus liked it. Quite want to get the wife into it.

If the wife doesnt like it, typically I then just don't bother and don't watch it.

Stranger Things - Binged watched it in one night last week. I've never done that before. It’s a show about a bunch of nerdy 12-year-olds back in 1983 who play D&D and get picked-on in school. I was a nerdy 12-year-old back in 1983 who played D&D and got picked-on in school. I did not give them permission to make a TV show about my life story. Also, my biggest crush back in the 80s was Winona Ryder. Nice to see she still does it for me, even if she is portraying 44-year-old, burnt-out, single mom.

DS9 – Greatest show on television. Ever. Benjamin Sisko yells at everyone. EVERYONE.

Downton Abbey – Great period piece. This is one to watch with the wife. It’s a very manly shows, despite what Finlay says.

Marco Polo – It’s on Netflix, and, due to the comments from the brothers here, it’s next on my list.
So, what would you guys do if some dude came at you with a belt that way?
Make sure I've got the safeword memorised.

@Texas Yankee - Yes! DS9 for the win! I've watched most of the whole show nightly on challenge and then it just went back to the beginning and I'm watching it over again. It's a nightly ritual. The only downer was the finale which I thought was rubbish. Time and time again there are scenes showing what a good dad Sisko was, then he just goes to live with the prophets and abandons his son because ... reasons. Bleh!
The supporting cast - quark, garak, gul dukat - are fantastic.

Yep! 1st episode is a bit wooden, but after the second I was hooked. Kublai is awesome.

Harris Yulin in "Duet". Cardassians really got the best actors.

I recently finished watching Jessica Jones on netflix. I'm not normally that keen on superhero things, but this was really good (and quite light on superpowers).

David Tennant was astonishing as the villain.

The wife I really enjoyed this! On Daredevil season 2 now. Lookin forward to Luke Cage

Next up is Dark Matter. Saw episode 1 on release missed the rest.

Waiting for Expanse, Grimm, Gotham.

I'm also one of those who prefers B5 to DS9. Rewatching slowly

My uncle recommended Broadchurch so may try that
