Here's wondering what your main Imperial Province is for modeling and painting of the Empire during this Post-WFB era

My main one is still Averland.

It's been a long time since I was painting to have my troops from certain provinces. Generally I've always leaned Hochland and the various Ulrican stuff. At this point though when I paint stuff I generally just pick colors that looks good for those models.

Nearly all of my Empire troops come from Stirland.

However, there are some units and artillery pieces showing the colours of Talabheim and Talabecland/Ostermark.

Thanks to GP’s Matoreans colour scheme of blue and orange, i now have a colour and possible background for the rest of my discombobulated empire forces. I love the multipurpose use this army can have although I don’t know too much about the Matoreans, I like the name, colour and the possible fluff that goes with them.
I may even work up the courage to use padre’s banner works to come up with something unique.

There is little, if any, GW fluff on Matorea. There is a wee bit from the madalfred site, but a darn little wee bit. I imagine it being founded by Imperials, and believe I have some written for it somewhere.

I purposefully used it as a location for a seafaring family associated with my Averland mercenary family, and having ties to Marienburg for commerce purposes as well. I picked the blue and orange because it seems to contrast well on the wheel of color, and it is totally different than any of the Imperial provinces.

Currently I only have a block of 20 maybe 25 swordsmen, and maybe 10 to 12 handgunners in line for my Matorean colors of orange and blue. I'd like to have some form of light cavalry, probably pistoliers at some point, but we'll see.

But I digress.

I have/had (it's been a while since I played Empire) several empire armies, Altdorf is probably the most painted, but I have a couple of units for my others, and characters. So I should probably count as a mixed army.

There are some folks who don't have a main Imperial Province, and I'm listing them under "No Main Province". With most units being from Altdorf, I'll list Oxycutor as Altdorf ...
