New to 40K, a question about challenges.
« on: August 02, 2015, 04:06:54 AM »
So, played my first game of 40K, 7th Ed, last night. Had a blast! My Nurgle Daemons against his Krieg Death Korps. After two rounds of watching half my army "thud-gunned" off the board, I got into close combat and rolled him up. :)

During the game, my Great Unclean One got into it with a Black Templar captain and his squad my opponent had brought as allies. We fought a challenge, and both of us being former Fantasy players assumed no one else could fight in the challenge, but the wording of the rules seemed as if other members of his squad could carry over wounds into the challenge. Does it work the same as in Fantasy 8th?

(As a side note, my whole gaming group has given up on AoS, even after giving it several tries. Since I already had the models [Daemons], I now look forward to playing the 40Ks with square based Plaugebearers and Bloodletters.  :-))
So, what would you guys do if some dude came at you with a belt that way?
Make sure I've got the safeword memorised.
