By the gods! I am in temporary heaven. My daughter in law babysits for a couple next door. I recently met him and had to mention his Dutch accent. Then I bombarded him with my stroopwafel addiction from many years ago (1985 I beleive). He has a radio show in the Netherlands so travels frequently. Said he would be there last week and would pick up a surprise.
Well.....3 gone in as many minutes. I guess addictions never go away.

Jumbo (supermarket chain) brand stroopwafels? Decent, I guess. But you can get far, far better ones. Maybe it's good if you never taste those though, you might get crazy emigration plans.

I rescued a baby today.
As I was passing a house, a distressed lady came to me and the two other passers by and asked us for help. She had locked herself out of the house and her toddler was screaming for her. I managed to pry open the laundry window wide enough for the other guy [a teen boys who's name I didn't catch] for him to stick his arm through and he managed to open the laundry door. The mother was very grateful for our assistance.
