They are indeed a messy bunch. God help me if I have to find a crisp presentation to deal with. The ‘white’ is wraithbone spray with Apothecary White contrast over it. I don’t think I have perfected it yet.

I think they're looking great. I'm siding with the people who love building, hate painting. I've gotten way better than I use to be, but I still don't take as much enjoyment as I do when building. I love  pulling a punch of random bits together and kti bashing some stuff.

I'm ok with your painting, my comment was more towards the landscape under them. :icon_wink: :icon_cool:

Lol, that cloth has been around since the beginning of 2017 I think. It’s got every paint on it that I have and may look better than my armies 😺
A pallet cloth.

This month has been fruitful for painting (for me).
Here is the Lord Aquilor - the General of this Chamber. And another batch of Liberators. What I imagine and then the reality of what is always surprises me rounded down.
I think the best this lot can be is a group shot at 4 ft.
I’m hoping better results with the looney bunch of squigs.

Look at the helmets on those gobbo "knights", and yes, the quotes signify me using that term in lightly. :icon_wink:

Indeed. I don’t think these knights have any knightly qualities lol

Perhaps Gobbos have different qualifications to be a knight.

There is something to be said for using brown as a base color, I've used it on some pirates and I like it.  There was an expert painter that I took a class from who swore by gray as a primer, and then would paint a layer of brown on certain items before applying another color like red or yellow.  My sense is if you're going to do a good bit of that, why not go the whole way and us it as a primer, then you skip a step on the figure.  Probably depends on how much of what colors you're using, because gray does give a certain ability to move in different directions with different colors of paint.  At the same time, I've bought multiple shades of brown spray paint to use for horse as well, because I got to imagine that'll make such easier to move along upon, and get them done.

The gobbo knights  are really cool.

Thank you very much! Another 5 of them to come. And 10 of the new squig herd. I just finished putting new bases on 20 of the metal squigs to make 2 more herds plus 10 of the metal squig hoppers for a unit, 3 metal stone trolls and an old metal ‘dwarf’ giant. Almost an instant army lol

Here is the result. Only 40 more spear men and 40 archers to convert and paint the boss and this army is done. Once again these guys will be my favourite army.

Probably not the best time to trash my white paint job on the SC but no more until I can get my hands on corax white and agrax earthshade. Just came across the most perfect white and exactly what I want. I will erase the puke on my existing units and paint no more until I get that elixir.

I've got a local hobby shop guy that is doing mail orders, and I plan on buying within the next 48 hours, so if you need those paints, I can order them from him, and then ship them to you in these challenging times.  Let me know! :icon_cool:
