Sellswords and Spellslingers
« on: April 12, 2018, 05:02:12 AM »

I've picked up a couple of new sets of rules lately. The most recent is a bit of a departure from my normal, but caught my attention for a few reasons. It's Sellswords and Spellslingers from Ganesha Games. I bought the PDF, read the rules and then ordered the printed cards.

Normally I prefer large scale games, with logical but "big picture" mechanics. This is sort of the opposite of that. But I'm interested in the solo/co-operative mechanics and the narrative/scenario driven approach. I do have some reservations about some of the other mechanics. But I've read some good reviews & battle reports and I'm willing to give it a try. I've even gone and bought a 36" x 36" piece of MDF to make a terrain board so I can try these rules out in style.

Now to dig through my minis and create a band of adventurers...

Hmm a solo/co op thing looks interesting. I think I saw you mention this before in another thread and I'm looking at it now. If you give it a whirl let us know how it goes.
