I have that bottom guy. Not sure of the quality, but happy to give to you.
Need anything else?

Nice! I wouldn't mind paying for it. I don't exactly need anything, but if you have anything old and charming to spare I'll buy it.

I have the shadow wizard, but I think he looks a bit ridiculous poking his stick forward. What's the fire wizard you're referring to?

I know about this one, which I'd like to get my hands on. I think it's plastic though:

I'd also like to get my hands on these:

I have that Bright Wizard, but had to convert him a bit, since he was damaged. Same with that mounted Grey Wizard - no left hand. I'll have to convert him too. They're pretty common on eBay, the last time I checked.

Do you need anything in return? Come to think of it, I haven't seen your models. You should paint some and post photos.

More stuff:

Miniatures intended for Mordheim and 9th age skirmisher use. MDF models are from a place called "Blotz". The MDF stuff is very flimsy, but it looks good. Will post pics of gypsy wagon at some point.

Really nice paint job. How do you think the pikes will hold up to the rigors of gaming?

They'll break if you get clumsy, but other than that it depends on storage and transportation. The pike being built into the arm helps with the sturdyness.

Good to see how the Warlord arquebusiers look in the flesh (metal? plastic?). Looks like they'd fit right in mixed with 6th edition unipiece handgunners, something I might do in the future.

Have you tried out how the Warlord/Pro Gloria plastic pikemen mix with GW bitz? I've on occasion thought about getting that box just to expand my bitz box for future kitbashes.

I've sot of tried it, there are pics in an earlier post in this thread. Edit: No there aren't. Where did I post those pictures again?

Anyway, my verdict is that the 6th edition multi part soldier plastics, along with a couple of bits from the more recent archer kit are the only GW bits that work together with the Pro Gloria plastics. The 6th ed plastics were sculpted by one or both of the Perry brothers, IIRC, so not that much of a surprise. Everything else looks goofy and mismatched.

These arquebusiers are metal though.

Well, considering the fact that the 6th edition soldier box is the master race of Empire plastics, that's good enough. Those standing torsos should, in particular, nicely complement the walking legs of the soldier box. I might in particular have used them for my fairly recent crossbowman conversions, had I had them at the time.

Thanks. I always thought bright red and yellow gave them a look that was too cartoonish for my taste, so I switched to terracotta and sand colours early on.
