Back Table Membership

After various failed attempts at policing, and as the Boss wants to keep an area for "free" discussion, we have decided to make the Back Table a board you have to 'opt in' to, rather than the previous option of 'opt out' provided by the Pure of Heart tag.

So we are in the process of setting up a system - hopefully - where regular members, and visitors, cannot see the Back Table.

Discussions on Politics, Religion, and other contentious issues are allowed, and we ask for polite respectful behaviour, but we know it is unlikely to happen.

Apparently this has now been set up and the tag is going to be "Bar Brawler"

I will need to check who is already included as I understand a few 'contenders' may have already been added.

So it would be helpful if a few of you advised:

1. If you can see the BT or not.

2. If you have been added - and may want to be taken off the list?

3. As before if you want to be added let me know.

It's gone. Good. I'm really, really happy that thread inspired some change and I didn't have to take the option of simply leaving. Too many good memories here, and now there will be occasion to add more, hopefully.

Warhammer-Empire Forum Members

I have pulled access to the Back Table for the general user.  This change is of little consequence to the majority of the site since they're not interested in that section.  If you're a regular participant there, you can grant yourself a pass by joining the Bar Brawler's member group.  You can do this by modifying your profile and clicking the box next to Bar Brawler in "additional user groups".

Note- I haven't thoroughly tested this,  if it works for you, please let us know here.

For now I'm ok with being in it, not to bothered yet with the heated topics as I avoid most of them anyway.
Note: I didn't logout and logged in yet (still on the continued login session)

Edit: It's gone now, I'll test it by setting it on (as per Grutch's post)

Grutch and I have been crossing each others paths.

He set it up to allow the members to choose themselves - I ticked another box to follow what I said above - you need to ask to be added.

My reasoning is that we wouldn't want a 10-year-old signing up unsupervised. 




Also I thought the Bar Brawler tag would show under avatars like Pure of Heart did??
