Alright everyone, after a long hiatus from painting, I have my relatively finished Kislevtonia Army to show off. Hopefully I don't get in trouble for starting a new thread but I did't want to overload my image accounts again with all the old pictures. Please do not be afraid to be critical. I'd love some advice. Any questions will be answered as promptly as possible and I hope you all enjoy the theme. So, without further ado, I give to you, the Rota of Kislevtonia! (Roughly themed on Dan Abnett's
Riders of the DeadNearly all models have custom resin shields and resin back wings.
I'll start off with a little non-model work. I took a Bretonnian Armybook and rebound it.
Meet Beledni, General of Kislevtonia
And his second-in-command Velba, BSB and rescued Demilancer/Pistolier of the Empire
One of my Wizards (with apparently some chipping... annoying)
Second Wizard (currently looks like a man due to poor skin paint job. A fix is in the works.)
Now that characters are out of the way, the really fun stuff begins.
Knights Errant! (Old Kislevite Lancer models with new back wings, horses and quite a bit of Greenstuff.)
Knights of the Realm! (Converted models based off Empire Pistoliers w/ custom lances, greenstuff cloaks and resin back wings.)
Grail Knights! (Converted Gryphon Legion models w/ new horses, additional fur etc.)
Pegasus Knights! (Eagles come from Island of Blood Griffin chopped up and greenstuffed w/ resin tail feathers. Riders are Kislev Horse Archers with fur, new weapons and a ton of filing.)
Peasant Bowman! (Amalgamation of Kislev Kossar models, converted peasants and empire troops. Lack-luster fences which I plan on sprucing up were simple popsicle sticks cut up.) (2 units)
Trebuchet! (RAF brand Trebuchet with Kossar crew. Bear model represents Private Voytek(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojtek_%28soldier_bear%29), a WWII veteran bear who took part in the battle of Monte Cassino(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Monte_Cassino)
And finally, a look at the whole army on display.
Hope you guys enjoyed it!
