They look nice!

What are they looking at?
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Looking really good, especially when you consider your painting speed. I also start to like the conversion more and more when I see them grouped.

How do you do it? 1. Basecoat everything 2. Wash it all (preferably one wash on the whole model 3. Highlight prominent areas once ?

I tend to go with one colour as an undercoat.

In this case a brown spray, because from brown i can easily get to skin tones, leather clothing, rusted armour and wood, red and gold and cream cloth.

So once they are under coated together and the sand applied on the bases, it's easy to get them finished very quickly.

Don't forget your handy hair dryer :)

I use a standard GW brush for everything, apart from some highlights.

Love your painting and modeling, very clean crisp look some great models/conversions, not sure personally on the new halberdiers, very nicely painted but they have a bit to much of a wizard of oz, witches guard look to them if that makes sense, nice but not my cup of tea :)

I like the way the skirted halberdiers look sort of old-fashioned, almost ceremonial or something. I would totally convert and field a unit like that if I could afford the bits.

Though now that I think about it, giving them tall fur hats and green skin could be pretty great. Then they could be the Tsarina's Ice-Witch's personal guard. "Oh we loathe, the oooold one. Oh we loathe, the oooold..."

Yeah, just sink a ton of cash into some Vostroyans for the heads and you are good to go.

An Oz themed army would be a really cool army. The Pegasus riding wizard would be represented by the Wicked Witch of the West on her broom, and likely a death wizard.  I'm not sure what to do with Dorothy, someow a Wizard doesn't feel right. I'd make the Tin Man into a Captain on foot, probably the BSB and give him AoMI. I'd make the Scarecrow into an Engineer. I'd use the Cowardly Lion as a Warrior Priest. Mr Warner's halberdiers as Witch's Castle guards. Build some with Greatswords instead of halberdiers to get the variety in there an have more troop types. Build some little people for the Urban Army, most likely as swordsmen. I'm thinking some apply trees for canons and helblasters. I'd model a small tornado and call it my steam tank, or maybe use it as a Helstorm. Did you notice what I just did there? The rational being it flings houses out that land on the enemy units! Just need to find a way to work flying Monkey miniatures into the army, maybe they could work as Pistoliers. This could be a really fun army to build. Too bad I've already gone too far on my army as it is. I've never read the book so I don't know how many other things there, are but the movie alone has tons of material for use.

It's like they heard something off the side. "Huh, what the hell was that?"
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

Because his helmet is scary.

He's annoying to rank up though, because he always wants to stab the guy next to him with his giant sword.
