Warrior Priest Gallery
« on: January 15, 2009, 10:28:06 PM »
Hi all,

Just starting a massive (crazy me  ) army which will include a HUGE number of warrior priests ('Sigmar's last hope' in the Parade Ground) - AND I am going to do the whole thing in plastic (special characters and all).

So i was wondering if people could post pics of their favour Warrior Priests here so I can get some ideas for my many conversions to come   :icon_biggrin:

thanks in advance.

This is mine:

Uses the bald head and hammer from the GotE kit and a Knightly Order legs/torso and horse - very simple :)

I have one or two Warrior preist's and an arch lector/GT I really like the photo's unfortunately are really grainy and seperated the colors a lot more than they are in RL I use a common red brown monastic robe coloration for common preists and unburnished steel, or enamelled black for their armour this fit's with the rest of my army and the fluff that I have for my WP's I also painted their shaven heads with a day or so of growth on by using a light grey very thin glaze
the GT is the only WP I have done with more than a simple battle habit on as he is also of an Imperial Electors rank, however I still linked him to the other WP's by keeping the color palatte the same red and gold with a white through black tone grade obviously the jade griffon disco medallion had to be green so I put in a few other bits to link it to the rest of the model and draw the eye around Also the horses were painted in matching gold on black enamelled bard, I really don't want to do a unit of these things but It was a challenging paint job and I learned a lot from doing it.

hope you like the pictures sorry about the quality but I'm sure you can get the gist

I had a lot of fun doing the weathering on the banners and muddy wheels too.  No fenders you see...

That is an awesome idea - I really like it.  Not to worry about the picture quality, the mini quality is what matters.  :eusa_clap:

I have to say, the underbrush on the WA base looks awesome. The gold on the horses looks great as well.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Wow I really like that last one! Simple idea of combining a few parts, but oh-so-well done and looks splendid! Very, very well painted too.

I like the kit bash and mounted WP's best, inspiring indeed.  Just the thing to get your creative juices flowing, and speaking of that Steveb you've GOT to have some amazing work what with all the other model's you've done.  watchagot?

I will include my Arch Lector (not on Altar) as well because he could be used as a Warrior Priest

This is my Witch Hunter( Warrior Priest), currently named after Mathi Albluft for his righteous zeal and as a sign of gratitude.

The current edition Knight's Horses killed my parents.

This is why I dislike them.

I was raised in the wild by Outrider horses.
