I somehow think GW owes you royalties for starting this trend 😺

Hah! Maybe just a little credit.

In the meantime, I have started up the Lothern Sea Guard again. Here is the mage:

Love the seaguard! One of my favourite elf units. That Mage looks terrific. I can't quite make out what he is holding. If I had to guess it would be a gyroscope.

I tried to make it look like a miniature globe. But it is very small...

I think it's supposed to be an Anulli cristal, a magic foci for HE mages.

I think you're right. I may make it a solid color, like purple or something.

Meanwhile, here are some wreckage counters I've been working on for ship battles.

These markers are excellent. Probably a lot of fun to make as well. Can't help thinking that they may be excellent dwarven rum in those 😺

If there is, the Dwarves will send the steamship out to pick them up!

Here they are painted. The barrles are from renedra. I used two to make the wreckage and then assembled the rest.

Oh ho, nice job! :eusa_clap:

Maybe if you're bored you can also make ship-wrecked sailor clinging to that flotsam for some extra flavor. :-D

Anyway, saw you asking questions about the Overlord's airships at Bugmen's? here's a pic of them in case you were still curious.

Thanks! When you go all in on pirates, I guess you get a lot of practice!

I finally finished the crew for my skycutter:

Here is the Sky Helm on his own base:

I also knocked out a reaper bathalian (mind flayer):

I decided next to do the sea chariot. It is pulled by a hippocampus and ridden by a marid. Both are from Reaper.

I base-coated the hippocampus in light blue and then washed with blue ink. For the marid, I base-coated with orange and inked with flesh wash. I'm hoping for a color somthing like coral.

The hippocampus is beautiful. Actual sea shell right?

These guys are great! Don't know if it's feasible but someday a group shot of your collection would be magnificent.
