Yep, and it could have been so much worse.

There was a telephone pole just beyond where I stopped the car. The ditch was much deeper in another spot than where I was. And there was the possibility of a roll over if the car had gone too far.

The irony, if it can be called that, is I got a note from the lady deciding she didn't want to proceed further with our interaction. Just goes to show, ya can do all the right stuff, including put your car and self at risk to go home, and still stuff doesn't work out. Not having gotten hurt and my car being ok or not, didn't come up in the note, even though she had been made aware of it, so onward, and upward.

Its been going on for about five hours here, and so far its been more blowing around than falling. Only a few inches so far.

And if it comes from this way, can you really claim it as a nor'easter. Im calling it a mi'wester.

Snow just started falling here.

I'm actually excited. Got Sunday and Monday off, and hoping the snow comes down in buckets.

On the other side of the storm the weather will get very cold, and it will ice in the snow for at least a few days.

Not getting as much as projected here. Seems the storm has taken more of a northerly pass through.

But it is still time to get out and do some snow shoveling. Then I'm going to paint!

Now that it's passed, I'd still say more wind than snow. There's a drift up to our bedroom window sills, and my car is almost completely buried, but I can see the concrete pavement of the walkway at out front door and parts of our driveway.

Trying to recruit my daughter (7 years old) to help clear the snow and she's haggling about what she "earns" for doing it. ~~Going to tell~~ Told her she earns breakfast and a roof over her head.

Frigid cold front has moved into the area, it was 0 degrees this morning at 7:30am, and still is now. They say it might get up to 5 degrees this afternoon. Not including wind chill of course, it is wicked windy.

Snow is expected in the Netherlands today but weather predictions on the map I saw might only gives us a few snow flakes while most of the south and east can expect 3-6 cm

We've had sporadic snow storms all season. Most of the time their centers have been going to the north or south of us. That means locally we've gotten less than many.

Where's that wood to knock on?

Yep. We saw our first few snow flakes last week, although didn't stick around longer than an hour. There will be more.

We had a gorgeous three day weekend here with sunny skies and about mid 60s for most of the day. I took a nap on my patio couch at one point.

I dream of moving to Colorado, but I don't think I can deal with all that snow.

Most of the country is freezing but I thought I would just let you know that here is beautiful blue skies and 80 degrees.

Should get down to 58 tonight.
