Reikland Painting Project
« on: July 30, 2019, 03:47:03 PM »
So got my first few kits and I'm starting to paint them at, starting with the Pistoliers I have. Got the test model ready  :biggriin:

Also waiting to hear the word, might get some models for free from someone I know, since old army they no longer play, so that would be PRETTY rad! :D

Very well done, indeed!
It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.

I like that you switched up the colors for  the blankets, and using the red, blue, and purple came out very good. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

I also think the mostly grass bases with touches of flowers looks good, too.  Sometimes we see a lot of "gravel" like patches, although these look more like what I'd imagine a field to look like.  Well done! :icon_biggrin: :eusa_clap:

Ye so afaik they are young nobles, so makes sense to have each of them have like the colors of where they come from n all

And thanks! I wasn't sure if they looked good, but think the bases turned out pretty nifty. I wanted like a "charging through a field" kinda look, and having show the texture paste below it just makes it look more real

I like the creamy white you are doing! How are you doing that?

Rakarth Flesh, wash it with Seraphim Sepia, dab on the haters (this is probs the most important part!), and then just highlight it with Rakarth Flesh again

Very good quality, I like the banner .

Are you using contrasts on some of these?

Yes, the horses. The fur, mane, and the saddle are Snakebite Leather, Black Templar, and Cygor Brown in this order :smile2:

And thank you, I was really not sure about it at first but ended up really liking the banner myself, which is good! haha

I am seriously jealous of your pace, which is pretty damn rapid! And with really good results too.

Are you using any of the new contrast paints on the clothing?

Thank you! Honestly amazing that I almost painted a 500pts army already!  :biggriin:

Hoping to play my first game next month and then paint 1000pts by the time I go to Europe to play at Warhammer World!

That is a pretty epic place to play your first 1000 p game   :icon_wink:. Warhammer world is a nice place to visit, even though there is almost no WFB stuff on exhibition  :icon_sad:
