3. NG2 marches toward Outriders 1, hopefully releasing their Fanatics right at them.

Are you sure you want to do this?  The Outriders are behind a wall and the Fanatic becomes a casualty when it hits anything besides a hill.

Manglers just have to take DTs...but Fanatics are a little more fragile.

Gah, did not notice that wall at all. My bad. Let's do an about-face on my tactics, then.

1. The Warboss will not leave his unit. Instead, the Black Orcs will swift reform and walk toward the main action.
2. The Night Goblins will also swift reform, and get ready to greet your Knights' return with some Fanatics to the face.

Solid plan.  For the Night Gobbos I wasn't tracking them with musicians unless I made a mistake on the math.

No swift reform without musicians...just face the Gobbos the other way then?

Yeah, do that. I was thinking of my 3k list, where they do have musicians.

The Blorcs turn around but fail their swift reform leadership test on a 10.  They are out of range of the BSB.

Here is what it looks like:

Note-  forgot to mention the Engie killed one gobbo on his S&S with his pistol.

Wild Boyz T2 Magic:

You are keeping your string of rolling high numbers:  you get a 6&5 for Winds of Magic.  No channels.

11PD to 6DD

What do you want to cast first?

HHG, what is the distance from the Great Shaman to your characters?

The Savage Orc Shaman is:

--20 inches away from the Witch Hunter, AL, BSB
--21 inches away from the Lvl 1 Light Wiz
--22 inches away from the Lvl 4 Light Wiz

Give me 4 dice on a boosted Hand of Gork on the Blorcs, HHG. And walk the Spear Chukka up a bit, as per our discussion.

Roger, got it.

The Savage Orc Shaman on a 4 dice boosted Hand of Gork gets 19+4=23.  No IF, but a sweet roll on 4 dice.

I dispel scroll it.  Next spell!

Sure - let's have 2 dice on an Itchy Nuisance on the Greatswords. Don't forget the Magic Mushroom die! :icon_wink:

2 die Itchy goes off on 8+1+4 for MM= 13.

I let it go.

The Greatsword's M and I are reduced by 1.

Despite the crappy result, the sneaky little cheek steals a DD from me.

Any Lts or people reading Rothgar's Wild Boyz thread that can post in here what his next spell is?  (assuming he posted his plan in the thread).

If Rothgar posts his intentions in that thread, don't be afraid to post in here if he is not on.

The next spell is a Boosted 'Eadbutt against the Wizard Lord. 3 dice originally, but I think we want to use the stolen power die for a total of 4 dice.

Makes sense.

On a 4 dice boosted version of 'Eadbutt the Savage Orc Shaman gets 7+4=11.  Even with the extra die, the spell fails to go off!

Unless I am missing something, the magic phase is over because there isn't anything that can be cast.

Close one, Empire is lucky to get off so lightly there.

Now to live through that shooting phase...

When I saw the Dicelog come up with a 6&5 my first thought was:  "oh man, here we go..."

This will likely be the most brutal shooting phase he gets too...

It is a pesky thing that always seems to get in the way:  real life!

Rothgar and crew will be back in action as soon as they can.

Yeah, sorry I've been away. Laptop access has been hard to come by of late.

Here are my plans for shooting, in order of mention (as before):
1. Both Chukkas on the east side will shoot the normal Knight unit.
2. The Doom Diver that can shoot will finish off the Knight unit, or shoot the ICKs if the Knight unit has failed a Panic test.
3. Both the Rock Lobbers will get dumped into the middle of the Greatsword block.

Wild Boyz T2 Shooting:

Chukka 1 & 2, excited about the Knights bearing down on them, miss Knight 2.

Doom Diver 1 tries to come to their rescue and slams into Knight 2 but only kills a single Knight.  The Knights pass their Panic test.

Rock Lobba 1 aims for the center of the GS but the shot drifts 4 inches and smashes 3 Halbs in the detachment.

Rock Lobba 2 must have been using the same math as RL1, because their shot drifts 8 inches the exact same direction, also killing 3 Halbs.  Halb det has 13 remaining.

Wild Boyz T2 Combat:

I forgot to roll Terror for the Night Gobbos (they are no longer Frenzied because they are more than 6 inches away from the Tower), but it didn't come into play.

NG have no effect on the STank.

The Engie manages to wound the NG Shaman.

Here is the end of the turn graph:

I think Empire really dodged some bullets that turn.  O&G shooting is never that reliable, but after two turns it really hasn't done that much.

Working up my start of turn now.
