Thanks for you comments guys! I have to say that I like most of the sculpts, but few of them look a bit odd in my opinion. Cersei for example - I couldn't get rid of the notion, that she looks a bit "neanderthalic"  :-D

I'm a bit unsure about the highlights on Cersei's dress. Maybe a bit overdone? Otherwise I think you've done great work with the cloth everywhere, especially with the Mountain.

On first draft her robe looked a bit plain. Then I went with few more highlights - customer liked so I have kept it as is. Since there was more then 100 minis involved in this commission, I didn't really have too much space even for the characters themselves - about 1-1,5 hour on average...

I love your paint job. Really nice!  :::cheers:::
But for some reason I never liked those sculpts…...I would have liked them looking more like the characters in the TV series.

Thanks guys!

But for some reason I never liked those sculpts…...I would have liked them looking more like the characters in the TV series.

I'd actually like them looking more according to the books - all costumes and armour more historical. But it's not bad afterall...

There are hobbits in GoT? :icon_eek: :icon_mrgreen:

No. That's Tyrion Lannister - the Imp, played by Peter Dinklage in the series.

I'm rather surprised how many people abroad do not know series (or the books). Everyone in Czech Republic still watches it, mostly out of the need for closure  :icon_lol:

Very strong painting scheme! Would like to see a close-up on the highlights of the black: how much of it is natural reflection from the light source, how much have you actually painted?

Also admire how you've painted the grey cloak. Very vivid and looks convincingly textile.  :eusa_clap:

Thanks Zygmund! I have actually spent "only" 3,75 hours on the champion, which is not bad, but still not enough to really go to town with that...
Do you mean highlights on the sword or armour? There are actually none on the armour  :icon_biggrin:

Hi Guys, long time no see. I worked on a bunch of commissions lately, but firstly I have to share my latest endeavour - 16 converted halberdiers as a adddition to my old unit, probably painted some 10 years ago. This was pretty quick (some 12 hours to paint) project, to match the original scheme, but I'm glad to finally finish the unit  :smile2:

Yes, these are rank and file Spearmen from 6th ed. starter set. I have a 20 man unit of regular spearmen I have probably used once in my games. So    30 more of the same minis I converted into Halberdiers, which are pretty handy, mostly as detachments... :smile2:

Love the converted Empire Halberdiers!

How did you do the thin white strips between the black? First white and then the black, or a very very fine brush for the white after the black?

Second guess is right - just a bit properly watered-down of Ushabti Bone applied by small enough brush :)
