____________________________________________________________________

Chaos Deployment:

Left Flank: Nurgle Gorebeast Chariot & Tzeentch Sorcerer Lord (Level 4 Metal) on Barded Steed with 3+/3++ (Third Eye & Spell Familiar)
Center Left: 18x Tzeentch Warriors with Shields + 2x Tzeentch Wizards (Level 2 Metal) with Channeling Staff / Dispel Scroll
Center Right: 30x Nurgle Warriors with Halberds & Shields + Nurgle BSB with Halberd
Right Flank: 2x Hellcannons

Empire Deployment:

Left flank: greatswords & Knights, Arch Lector on War Altar behind them
Center: 40x halberdiers with Detachments in front of them & Steam Tanks on either side
Right: Hellblaster & Knights, Cannons behind on the hill

I roll highest and go first!

I move forward and fire all my Cannons at the left Hellcannon; it causes 3 wounds as most hits were saved by the 5++ Ward.

* Hellcannons are the large empty bases on the far right corner
____________________________________________________________________

In his turn he unleashes a devistating Magic Phase that kills the left Steam Tank with a 11-hit Seering Doom that nearly kills it, then i fail to stop a 4 Hit Seering Doom from a Level 2 Wizard.

His Hell Cannon fails its LD test and runs forward 15" into the forest!

I then take my turn #2 and smash the remaining Steam tank into his Hellcannon (killing it quite easily).

My Cannons kill his Gorebeast Chariot.

____________________________________________________________________

He blasts my left Knights with a Seering Doom, but rolls low and only kills 1 model.  I stop his remaining Magic fairly well.

His remaining Hellcannon fires a shot at my Steam Tank and Misfires, blowing itself up!

My turn #3 then sees his Level 4 Flee from the Greatswords and he gets away.  My Steam tank is able to make a long 15" charge and hit his Nurgle Warriors.

____________________________________________________________________

In his turn #3 his Level 4 rallies and Seering Dooms my left knights, wiping them out and I fail the Panic test on my Halberdiers!  He also kills 5 Greatswords with Seering doom.

____________________________________________________________________

I decide to charge his Tzeentch Warriors in hopes of killing his wizards in a Challenge.  I kill the Champion first on the charge.

The Steam Tank is slowly grinding his Nurgle Warriors into the dirt and isn't taking much damage in return.

____________________________________________________________________

He them miraculously casts Transmutation of Lead and Enchanted Blades in the same turn.  This makes his Nurgle warriors & BSB hit on 2+ and he negates 4-5 points of my armor now!  I take a few wounds.

____________________________________________________________________

Not satisfied with the grind-fest i decide to end this battle now and charge his Level 4 wizard with my Halberdiers with BSB joined.  He chooses to flee (as I had suspected he would) and runs right into the LoS of the greatswords who declare a charge.  He is forced to flee again, but this time he rolls very low and the greatswords only need a 5 on the dice to catch him... his Sorcerer Lord is cut down like a dog and he throws in the towel.

____________________________________________________________________

The opponent wasn't using an optimized list, but in order to make it more competative he switched his Lore from Tzeentch to Metal just to fight me.  he also added the Third Eye of Tzeentch to the wizard as part of his making sure he wasn't handicapped too severely.

The game was not by any means 100% over, but watching me heal my Steam Tanks every turn and waiting for my Arch Lector to eventually murder both his remaining Wizards was not his idea of a fun time, so he called it a bit early.

Good job, and a nice theme! Two Stanks and so many WM are a bit much for the unprepared to handle I suspect.  :-D

I love your army and the pics! Thanks and keep it up!

Also, where did you get those Warrior Priest Spell Magic Cards?  I would love to print some out for myself!

Let me think:  elite troops with high armour save? Surely not!  :engel:
It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.
