Arrmy List Variants
« on: May 26, 2009, 05:23:40 AM »
Why did army list variants like the artilary train in the back of the 6th edition empire book bite the dust? I thought it was a good idea.
It’s all about Renaissance Punk.

Balancing issues, I believe was the stated reason.

Balanced lists are nice,
however,
everyone should be able to choose what army and how he play with it.
Those lists, should stay.

there should be more... every army should have more... like Storm of Chaos... every province should have a special list... dwarfs would have different holds... chaos gets their "god specific" rules and lists... so should everyone else... not unfairly, every army will have its strengths and weaknesses... (like frenzy dragging a khorne army around the field while it gets shot to bits or un-willingly set up for a juicy flank charge)
Well if the empire is gonna get all those upgrades you want, then my gobbos want S4, T4, and A2... that would be as balanced as your new halberds and other rules...

Glory for Stirland!!!

With more armybooks being  thrown around, there is a much larger chance of one to come out horribly overpowered, becoming a disproportionately popular choice because of it's horrible cheesiness.
What's up with that Phillyt guy... he's not what I would call '' pleasant''.
