Magnus The Red Model
« on: October 10, 2016, 08:52:22 PM »
There's a fancy looking new model for Magnus the demon Primarch, and plastic to. Has anyone else seen this?

Edit; I tried to embed it with photobucket but it's just not working.

I have seen it - I quite like it. Won't use it, but I quite like it.

Don't like the model, but that video was actually kind of endearing.

And the very last sentence...

This is how I imagine my Sisters look when they hear they get reinforcements.

I've seen a woman look like that, and it wasn't because she was getting reinforcements. :icon_wink:

On a more serious note, I love this model. SoB info is nice as well, but the Crimson Kings looks regal as hell, just like a Daemon Primarch should. :)

30K thousand sons in plastic soon, would be silly not to release the primarch of theirs in expensive form.
Curse you and your ability to stay within the lines.

I don't like it that much.  But it's better than the old Epic model.

Some rumors I have heard are the 13th Crusade reaches Holy Terra and the Custodies come out to play . . .

That's what worries me, coupled with rumour about intorducing the Silent Sisters to 40K. I mean, I get that they want for the Prospero Burns models to be compatible with core 40K, but come on! At the current level of the game, I dread to think about a Custodian-Space Marine combo bullshit.

The model for Magnus is pretty awesome, but I'm usually not too interested in special characters- warhammer is supposed to be about "your dudes", after all. Sons and Sisters, though... Now that's interesting!

(( So... unless I missed something, am I the only one who thinks the new Magnus the Red looks suspiciously like a demon-hunter nightelf from WoW?  Just do a Google search for Night Elf Demon Hunter, and you'll be like, "Damn... that's... seriously about as close to plagiarism as GW can get."

I mean... like... seriously, I feel like saying something like...

...

...

...

... "YOU ARE NOT READY!!"... though I guess you'd need some Naga to really emphasize that line.

Mmmmm... I would have so loved to play a Naga in WoW.

And bonus points for those of you who get the WoW reference two lines above.  ))

It is obviously a 40k model not a 30k right?  Magnus didn't become a demon prince until well after the Heresy ended and everyone fled for the Eye of Terror.

Yes, I believe it has more to do with the current invasion of Fenris thing their doing. I don't believe the model as anything to do with 30k.

Yeah, but I'm sure that a 30K Magnus is not far behind!
