I may look into pledging now. Maybe. Hmmm.

No it probably wouldn’t... it was a tight fit.

If they dont all fit now, you can always hold onto some and bundle them into the next box of miniatures... assuming you still want to paint? I guess if Karl is talking to you, you probably do.

Next batch I am thinking is elf cavalry and chariots, and a few more undead bits and pieces, and maybe some other classic stuff too... still need to finalise but getting close.

Steve has been fairly quiet recently actually...

Warlord very much likes the work you have done, and has already started making a list of more models he would like to send...

Trying to consider if I should send more and you hold on to all of it, and send back in one go - happy to give a milestone payment for everything finished in the first round, or if i should receive it all back, and then send more. Not sure which way postage might be more beneficial...

That is a fairly tough list.... except the halflings and large unit size knights?
Usually dropping points into some dwarf infantry is better spent? Would probably work well with the bearmen as your other infantry block?
And 2 units of duelists better than 1?
Why general on pegasus?

Don’t worty about the Dire wolf base - I am happy enough.

Terrorghiest is beautiful.
Really what I was hoping for.
The ’dirty’ brown is nice.
Very happy.

Karl still looks great.

Regarding the hurricanum, I agree, postage might be a problem. I am happy to glue that together.

What else remains? Do I get this all back around christmas time? Do you get a nice payment before Christmas too?

So very true.

As a child, I was early on taught the perils of Funnelweb and Redback Spiders.

And just before we headed over to Eurobash, we had some Redbacks out the back and the front, and I had to have a discussion with my 4 year old son...

I like the Tree one.

Massive target... surely they shouldn't have chosen so highly.

Watched Gods of Egypt last night. I thought it was pretty good. More to it than 300 thats for sure. I think where they went wrong, is they expected people to know a bit more Egyptian mythology. They might have benefited from a few paragraphs of text at the beginning to set the scene and peoples animal forms, etc. I guess they expected people to find out as you go, but it relied on people being invested.

Obviously there were issues with ‘whitewashing’ and Gerard Butler’s accent, but people didn’t have a big issue with it in 300 did they?
Are there many top tier middle eastern actors in hollywood who could bring a crowd?

Yeah, I quite liked Ocean's 8, and didn't understand the hate or disrespect it got.
It is a perfectly fun movie, and sure it has women instead of men, but I don't see the problem with it.
Perhaps Sandra Bullock is trying a bit too hard to be cool, but I don't think she did a bad job.

Even though I am not contributing, I hope this succeeds. I have always really liked what Fireforge do.

It is horrible. But legal.
And knowledge of this (all of this), by a savvy enough player while 8th ed was still 'THE' edition, would have been challenging to play against.

The conga line I see as primarily placing your unit as a blocker for other units that may want to charge past that spot, etc. Its uses are limited yes, but still present. Even if it is distasteful.

So I found this, which I actually quite like:

Well, the mount primarily. Not sure about the rider.
Now just need to purchase somehow...

More great stuff :eusa_clap:
That Flagellant unit filler mounted 'standard' bearer - wow!  :eusa_clap:
Good use of a classic mini !

Also, which original model is that blindfolded rider? Ibn the Standard Bearer from Al-Mukhtar's Desert Dogs?

Indeed it is.
I had 3 sets of the Desert dogs, and needed to use up the extra standard bearers. Originally he was in a with a unit of mounted Warrior Priests, but his lack of armour made the unit seem a bit weird, so then when I wanted to up my unit of flagellants to 20 from 15, I needed a unit filler, and that's when it all came into place.

I cannot take credit. Warhammer-Weib painted it for me as a Pleasant Surprise many years ago.
It also came with an accompanying dog (the dog with the Mortar above) and a cool die to use as a turn marker.

Sorry to crash your thread too - do you know of any decent roman or greek style giants? Pose similar to the old giant in the comparison picture above?

What about any decent Cyclops?

When I read your message I immediately thought in a Giant that has been not released yet, coming from the Crocodile Miniatures crowdfunding. Special Cyclops charm here.

Having seen these painted now, I think I like what I see...

Now just to somehow order online without it coming up on the credit card statement....

WHFB The Electors' Forum / Re: 6th ed - starting replaying the best edition
« on: September 20, 2018, 02:12:50 PM »
To be fair skeletons in 6th ed were a lot more points than later on to pay for it. But combined with a Strigoi Lord was quite an enjoyable power combo I would run...

Skeletons by themselves were very rarely winning combats. Zombies were also horrible, ghouls were skirmishers and graveguard were very expensive. It was only if you have some combined combats and some vampire combat characters would you get that result.

Haven't backed this one, though I was intrigued.  It is fully funded with 9 days to go:

Deus lo Vult – The Board Game of Rampage, Betrayal and Agony

Beautiful. Wish I had funded. Not that I have anyone to play it with.
