Welcome, Sjus and Arskittar!

Hope to see photos of your armies, Sjus. I'm especially interested in the late medieval royal Danish Brets.

Arskittar, tell us more about your DoW Empire!

Hello, my name is Adam and i just signed up to the website/forum.

I have recently had time to sort through some of my boxes of Games Workshop, and i am hoping to get time to paint some of them. I was last into the hobby in the mid nineties, with a small flurry of ebay purchasing about 4 years ago. At the moment i am more interested in painting and maybe some light conversion than playing.

Hoping to get some ideas and advice. I am not that good at the painting but enjoy it. This week i have taken 4 broken henchmen from advanced Heroquest and turned them into banner men (standard bearers), i have painted a Mighty Empires knight, attached a pennant and shield symbol to create a hero.

I have a few figures to go but i am looking at using militia models as heroes in groupings of older miniatures that only had one or two poses. I should end up with a 500+ point Altdorf troop.

Adam

Hello All,

My name is Shane, I've recently come back to the hobby after at least a decade away from it, re-discovering all the magic in those dusty boxes under the stairs!

Discovering the whole Age of Sigmar actually enraged me, but that's for another thread I'm sure, and a couple years late.

Enjoying seeing those red and white regiments back on my table top again, and have greenskins to slay!

Hello, everyone!
I'm Niccolò, 24 years old from Milan, Italy! I must reveal to you, with tears in my eyes, that my first warhammer miniatures in my life were two...bretonnian knights!  I expect to be "interrogated" soon by some zealous witch hunters!
By the way, I was 5 and my mind was full of "honor and damsels in distress" crap: later I did the right thing and began collecting the glorious denizens of the Empire!
I'm not a skilled gamer, unfortunately, because of the dispersion of my gaming fellows in various cities of this country and also due to my lack of time to dedicate to the relaxant duty of painting... I'm trying to bring to life a regiment of 35 greatswords, a mighty metal steam tank (the plastic one is too much...unrealistic, with its lack of weight) and an Ulrican war altar, but there's too much to do. I have a 5160 points Empire Army, mainly composed of heroes, cavalry, artillery and 2 Tanks, with few core troops.
I discovered this forum while searching for tactics and reviews and I was delighted to find such a nice place to discuss and learn so many tricks and crafts!
I beg you pardon for my unskilled English language: tv series with english subtitles are not a good method of learning!
Thank you and see you around!

round of applause for you all
for the past 2 years, I have sat in my cage, watching the owners put me in small, translucent spheres, and dump small, rock like food, into my cage. But no longer!, I have broken free of the shackles of being a hamster and now!, I paint, as a hamster can not do much more, mostly our small life span

Hello everyone !
I'm Pablo, 17 years old from Barcelona, Spain. I must say that I've been browsing through this website since I started with my empire army, but now It's finally time to introduce myself !
I've been building and painting miniatures since I was 11 years old. Everything started with ww2 plane models, and now I'm building an empire Altdorf army with the emperor himself !
 :biggriin:
I've been working on this project for a year now, but I can't dedicate myself as much time as I want in painting (I need to study, go to school and these things ...). I've been playing Warhammer fantasy for 2 years now (but I mainly steal the miniatures from my friends to play), but I also play Mordheim and (forgive me Sigmar for this sin) Age of Sigmar.
I've been browsing this forum for painting guides and admiring other armies to get some inspiration, and I'm very happy to know that htere's still a community loyal to the great empire  !!!

Welcome! You have come to the right place. Everything you will require can be found here. (Including the odd AoS revolutionary). Post your pics, battle reports and struggles to bring the empire to the table. All is welcome 😸

Welcome aboard the board, Pablo! I must have been 17 as well when I first registered here. That was, though, rather soon after starting, something like a few months after I bought the 6th edition starter box.

You're quite dedicated to get into WFB now that GW has dropped it. You have my respect for that.

Hi everybody!

Here is Galax, a young Empire general from Ravenna, Italy
I admit it has been some time since i firstly entered this forum as a guest, and sometimes I followed the Brush and palette section to get some inspirations.
Today I decided it was time to give a contribute to this forum by showing you some of my stuff and talking about my experiences.

I actually play T9A and don't truly like AoS, my fault.
Maybe it's because I think our glorious Empire is not well represented in this last one, and when I read Free People I always think "Sigmarines' cannon fodder"

I'll soon start a topic in the painting section, if you mind join me there!  :engel:
