I watched this end, and I must say it was entertaining.

Umm. Yeah.

It must be the key to some pirate treasure. Or something.

That is the manliest looking cannon I've ever seen! Totally worth the asking price. If only I had the money... :icon_lol:

Pro-Painted = Professionally Painted - so can he provide example of work he has had commissioned and sold, or exhibited, references from Buyers, copies of invoices etc.

Pro = Professional - so is he registered somewhere? If I contact my local Trading Standarsd will they verify his claim?

I asked him if there was a discount for the cannon not being positioned correctly.  :engel:

BAWTRM should ask him if the mould lines are extra?

Merciless Mocking should be a regular pastime ...........

Although, looking through the guys other items for sale. I noticed a bit of a bargain, actually a bit of a  massive bargain... I dont think he knows what he's got here. He's listed it as a VC Necromancer instead of the Mordheim Witch. Worth buying to strip and repaint, I'd buy it but I've got it already.

It ended just after I posted  :icon_redface: He's got another one listed but its slightly more expensive and got a horrible, decorative base.

I know this has nothing to do with Warhammer, but I had to post this. This book Central Castings, Heroes of Legend is a cool book that was released years ago. It along with it's sister books, Heroes Now and Heroes of Tomorrow, they are out of print and hard to get a hold of. They were for helping build a back story for role-playing characters in fantasy, modern, and sci-fi campaign. Some of my most memorable characters were built using them. There were two editions of this particular book. The 2nd edition is much rarer and goes for much higher than the first edition, so I watch ebay for the 2nd edition. Anyway, even near mint copies of the first edition don't go for the price this guy is asking for an acceptable condition copy of it! I've seen some rare book sites with near mint copies for $100, not selling. I got a very good condition copy of it for $35. There is no picture, so I would assume that this is what I would call poor or bad condition, just from experience seeing what people classify stuff as.

No with all fairness to the steam tank guy, he said it was "pro painted", not "pro assembled"

It's pretty badly painted, too. It looks like he just slathered it with chainmail and didn't bother shading or highlighting. Most "Pro painters" at least attempt to make the figure passable with dipping or drybrushing.

Not all, though. Some will do some super cheap painting with just flat colors.

Except the last one, these aren't that bad. Still way too expensive, but if I was was a rich dumb kid e.g. of a successful Swedish businessman, I might consider buying the lot from my one-day pocket money installment.

Well daddy must get a present to give a present... Or vice versa.  :closed-eyes:

I am looking at this guy - the reason I haven't bought him is that I'm afraid he may get cast again only better.

It's clearly marked 'studio' on the bottom and while clearly ayone could simply write 'studio' on a piece to bump up the price if you trawl through vintage white dwarfs you can see this is typical of movement trays used at the time,
