Some folks really love them some old metal empire:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170652040691

$8 a piece plus shipping for 20!  You would think you would get a better deal per mini if you bought a whole unit.  If you note the bid history, you can see why I prefer sniping when possible.

As an example of the benefits of sniping, I present these two auctions I won a while ago:

*sigh* this is why I hate it when I have to bid before the end of an auction:

http://offer.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=160600829166&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:BIDN

At least I bid high enough that he had to pay an unreasonable price  :engel:

Anyone know where I can get a sniping program for ebay?  Are such things allowed and easy to use?

I am trying to complete my collection of the old 'classic' wizards.

Of the 16 - 8 foot & 8 mounted - I am missing 5, so I have been trying to pick them off from ebay.

I thought I had two of them this with reasonable bids, and then the same bastard sniped both of them.

Annoying, but I will only bid at what I consider sensible offers, so I just have to be patient. I finally got the Amethyst on foot a couple of weeks ago - for £0.50 and very reasonable low postage - the scythe was broken, but included, and I pinned it and you cannot see the join.  RESULT!

Oh and how about these - are they really well-painted?

They've both got the '1' bid though ...........

Tell me about it. Unfortunately not within my powers. I'm also quite sure you were able to see the price.

That wasn't even a proper army book: it was a compilation of white dwarf articles!

Indeed, but that was hardly the biggest issue with that page.

lol "normal" (or should I say current scamming) price on ebay is about $50-60 USD for that book. With the exchange rate on Euro - USD that is hideously expensive compared..($170 - 175)

I hate Ebay, TBH. Don't trust the sellers. Back here I can just pick up what I'm buying.
