@Konrad - Good to hear! Definitely let me know and we could discuss the possibilities...

@Games Poet - Thanks! I had noticed the same thing, but I haven't bothered since it was all done. When you put a rider atop of the horse it is actually barely visible...

True, although I looked at that as well, and still sensed the same.  No big deal.  I tend to be overly critical of my own painting, and sometimes I just need to stop and move on to the next piece.

@ Games Poet - Definitely thanks for the notice. I cant even remmember how often have I finished painting a model and noticed something missing or not rigth just after that... :biggriin:

Some new stuff - 3 40 K Assassins - again, just a really quick job, 2 and half hour of painwork each. Customer apreciated price over quailty, although I'd normally tend to paint them a bit longer...

...and my (old) ork trukk as compensation...

Deffo a nice color scheme on the Assassins. You don't see that kind of palette on them too often. :::cheers:::

Thanks guys!

I wanted to spend a little more time on those asssassins, but the customer was strict and wanted to have quickly and not too much expansive. We discused the scheme and came up with something a bit unusual...

In the meantime I have worked a bit on space wolves. I still have about half of the models ahead of me...

I know it doesn't happen that often with space marines, but I have to say - "There is too many of them!"

Interesting color scheme. I reckon they'd look splendid on winter-themed bases.

Thanks guys!

I'm not 100% sure about the scheme - maybe the colours (red especially) should be more subtle? Shouln't I keep the bow in more natural brown colour - this reminds me old times, where every wooden piece of weaponery was bright red or yellow  :icon_biggrin:

The red bow works with the hood.  If the receiver likes it, go for it.

I like the dryad looking natural as it does.  And perhaps the brown leaves are an autumn groin covering.

Hi Silvero (and the rest of you),

My guidance for these were Autumn colours (red, orange, yellow, brown, grey) and though looking a little colder, like late autumn, I quite love them. I never considered waywatchers to look like that, and I love them including the red bow and hood. I am curious to see what some of the other dryads look like with spites and more leaves on them, but so far I really like the choice made for the colours...

love the stuff, especially the all natural, the red is fine it catches the eye and then the eye really observes the rest. just a little possible justification for the red in the wooden items, you have seen or heard tell of red barns, common in the Midwest and other regions, the reason was not aesthetics, it was because the people mixed iron oxide in their medium, as it oxidized it turned red, as in rust this solution that permeated the wood prevents mold and fungus from taking root in the wood and growing, maybe you could call it a little bit of farmers alchemy...... much like soldiers who blackened their plate armor to prevent rust....I have heard it was a combination of heat and urine, not sure do not intend to replicate either,,,,,,,  steveb

Thanks guys, really appreciate this kind of support!

@Warlord - I'm glad you like them, I'm eager to start working on them (both dryads and waywatchers), to see how a unit as a whole looks like!

@ steveb - I know about the blackened armour, but I didn't know about the wood. Not sure if elves would need to do that with their weapons, since their magic and stuff... :icon_biggrin:

Again - rather quick and dirty test model for direwolves, +-classic GW scheme

Thinking about adding some more contrast to the mane? As a batch, they should be under hour for model...

The contrasting colors looks really good on your models, giving them that unique feel. Nice! :::cheers:::

My favourites on this page are the Space Marines!

Those modern direwolves are a bit meh sculpts, I think. Like modern GW, they are meant to paint easily, but somehow I feel they lack the kind of detail that would actually make that happen. Instead a lot of rather smooth surface, with no hair or scars or the like. Do you plan to go into detail, to make the muscles visible, and to give more hues to the skin? It's hard work, but helps somewhat.
