I am glad I used up that can of spray - I think it may have been sitting too long in the cold or the heat or something. It seemed to have an excess of "carrier" rather than pigment; it was almost like a tinted varnish in some ways. I did not like it. It has gone on, but the model still seems "tacky" and smells strongly of propellant / solvent. Hmm - I was hoping to have started painting it, but I fear that may have to wait for a few days until it is fully dry. It seems a delicate undercoat right now . . .

How are others doing?

I have almost no free time at this time of the year, so I have some great ideas that I can perhaps act on in a month.
And don't get me started about paint cans. Summer here is hot enough that the paint dries between can and model!

ZeroTwentythrees are subject to frenzy when within range of Deadcember, so I spent my recent painting time on that. Decided on one part of my surprise, but still figuring out what to do with the rest. I have my eye on a few ideas. But the surprise is probably going to happen after December.

I have a few ideas, but not near execution yet.
I think there is a lot of scope, but taking my time at the moment.

I'm looking at February as a start date. Allows  me to get my table and work area set up. Still don't know what the idea is but I'm hoping for inspiration to hit like a starsoul mace!

Hey, guys.   Sooooo, I didn't really know where to put this, but it's a pleasant surprise from the 2015 round.  I just got it in the mail yesterday.  Better late than never I suppose!  I didn't get a name with it, so feel free to claim it if it came from you.

(Also, feel free to move this post to wherever it needs to go.)

That is just great. Reminds me of my crossover from Brindisi to Greece. Missed the whole island of Corfu laying on deck completely dismantled. Thanks to my friends Matius  from Stuttgart and Reiner from tourbingen I survived that horrible night and day.

I finished building my victim's figure at the end of November but due to my inactivity I found I had the same problem as earlier in the year with paints drying up so never got started with the painting. Then decided that with the Xmas post I may as well wait until next year before sending so no rush. I’ve now discovered that the hobby shop where I used to buy my paints has closed so the only ones available to me in a proper shop are GW’s stuff. I’m being taken to a wargame show in Feb so I’ve more time to check and hopefully save some of my current paints before making a list of what to buy in Feb – so sorry Mr/Mrs/Ms X your surprise will be delayed.

I know what I'm gonna do and I have the bits and bobs required. Just need to re-enter the realm of painting. We do have until summer, yes?

If any of you remembered my post from last year about dried up paints you may be wondering how come I’ve added so many (for me anyway) figures in my City Watch thread. Well, I managed to save a few more paints than I expected although my current palate is quite limited.

This problem will be resolved at the weekend after which normal service will resume (whatever that is) I’ve 10 figures to paint in the next 2/3 weeks for the next stage of the local painting competition and my normal rate is one figure a month – we’ll see what happens.
