Is that a Kromlech mini? Looks really neat.

Not sure Xath. eBay purchase of course 😺
I sat and looked at my flagellantsand just couldn’t do em. Worked over my gamesday librarian and put him in Covenant colours (although I’m not really sure they are for a librarian) then touch ups on my chaplain. When you don’t look at them for awhile you really see a lot of things missed. That led to dragging out the whole hq/command squad for the DA. That librarian was one of the first models I painted. Before I even new what they were. I always loved asmodai and the special chapter master. They will eventually all go Covenant I think because I can’t think why I need 2 DA army’s.

Some nice, old school minis in here. I love them. Especially the limited edition DA Captain. :smile2:

Did a bit of a clean up and throw out of stuff I’ll never use again. Thinking what the next project might be and am having a hard look at the DA army. This was my first 40k army and looks like it. Later I did a Guardians of the Covenant and liked that one much better. I don’t really need to but for the sake of conformity I might just convert the DA to Covenant.  I lost a total of 11 squad members over time and filled in the missing DA with some subs kicking around and I need to find 3 GotC to bring them back to full strength. I may use 2 old devastator  guys and piece together 1 more from bits. It’s either this route or the more incomplete sisters army.

Thanks!
Need to get the tight red paint. I used a brighter red on the assault squad and termies but need to tone it down a bit. This should be fun to complete and I beleive it will also be the first 40 k 8 ed codex I pick up as well

Both groups look awesome! I've always been a sucker for green myself but the red of the covenant does stand out more.

Thanks again! Missed this comment somehow. Been awhile since doing anything but I found a henchwoman of the inquisitorial crew based in White and crying for paint and was waiting for the Deamons to dry, so here’s the fillin. I can’t remeber her function but always was planning on finishing sometime. Another 10 year project. Next henchman will be the crusader I think. Found a great colour scheme that I’m going to lift from the pages of the combined imperial codex. Sometimes when I load the pics and see them online I need to styfle the gag reflex. They seem to look good on the table but up close and personal it doesn’t work.

I know exactly how you feel. I've never been a fan of my own painting, but it generally looks fine in real life. Soon as I put a picture up I notice tons of mistakes and jut general ugg.

Your henchwomen looks great. The face freaks me out a bit but that could be normal for inquisitorial hench people.

Don't get me wrong, your painting's good, but that is seriously one of the worst sculpts in the long history of GW. :biggriin:

I think I should do away with that red paint. Not to blame shoddy work on materials, but it looks as ghastly as my Warpriest I did with he same red. Yep, ghastly.

Didn’t even get close to the store today. No Black base spray so I thought I would make amends with my depleted squads over the years. This army needs lots of work but it was short 11 mia’s In various squads. So I rummaged thru all the parts and found enough pieces to come up with the losses. All the green DA will become Covenant colours as I like the scheme better and the green is extra bad.
Gentlemen, we can rebuild them.

Thanks again!👆

The change begins. A big chunk of devastators  and part of a squad has made it over. Scouts partial and some others. All the made up pieces finally based with a can I managed to pick up.  Almost but not quite painted that dreadnaught Covenant colours. That would have been a proper insult to the wolves.

Can anyone identify this low life scum bucket? Picked him up years ago but don’t know his name if it’s worth having one for something so far from the emperor’s light.

Looks like some standard bearer type for Death guard (nurgle standard)

Minimal contribution but it’s something. First painted model in a few months at least. I think he was a special objective in one of the starter games.
