dont forget to do the front wheels, blacken the view slits, maybe a whisp of steam from the uper barrel? Anyway even if you stop now your stank is looking real good, can't wait to see the driver. steveb

He's a young cocky engineer, out for a raz in the steam tank!

Stolen it from the Master Engineer's garage at night, popped the hatch and is waiting to pop some shots at a cow for target practice :)

I am excited to paint my duelist.  Do you have the one that is kissing his sword too?

Also, do you have this guy magnetized so you can use him on foot as well?

Have you already painted the kissing guy?  Is he already in this log and I missed him?

Feels like I'm wearing nothing at all!

Good stuff, but where'd the tank hatch go?

Looks fantastic!  Great use of a dyanmic, tight-pants model...  Paint looks dynamite, as usual.  If I could offer some minor CC, I might consider another wash/shade around the rivets to make them pop a little more from the similarly gold edging.  Overall, though, an amazing centerpiece!

cheers I am looking for advice like this!

I have now ordered a Screaming Bell Base, the only GW standard base able to fit a STANK on it seems!

I had to botch the current base together and it looks aweful.

This is still a WIP so I have at least 4 more hours of painting and enhancing highlights , adding hatch, base work, adding flags, converting etc

Sweet. I got a laugh out of the tush shots, I had not looked at my figure close yet and didn't realise that it was so.......... anyway good job. if you could get a hatch off one of the older smaller stanks it would make a nice addition to this work and compliment it more than the regular hatch.  steveb

Wow!
This army is nice!

I like the colours you took for the stank, each one for left and right.

And the guy in turret is epic!!

In 12000 BC (before the great flood) the ancient Sumarians used steam powered vehicles,

they also had flying machines

Well if you install the hatch his ass is covered and therefore the enemy will be less impressed.

I think he stands a bit too far out of the stank....I know I know he wants to show his butt and his mighty cod piece but if you donīt mind destroying the mini I would cut off his legs and place him a bit further down. (Or drill a hole in the stanks top).

I see from the mechanical diagram they give you with the original box, that you can mount the hatch in either orientation, so i can still have the ass out.

To be frank, I hadn't noticed the ass until people on here mentioned it!

I agree he stands high , but I sort of like it now.

I've finalised my xmas eve , 2500 pts army, see parade ground,

need advice !

Put the hatch on the front like a russian tank.

Best of both worlds, his codpiece is now armoured and his ass can be admired by his supporting infantry...

Why not on the side? That way you get full view of the imperial goods.

Just poured through this thread. Really great and consistent army- very impressive. I think I like your old ogre unit the best. Have any closer shots of them?

Top stuff. :icon_cool:
