Yes it is. The only way I can get there is by lottery. So I pledge here and now, if I win, I will head north , grab Gankom, go further northwest, grab the captain, go south to lovely Vermont , wait in the rush line while GP gets his passport and then we all will head for Belgium. Grutch and Zak , Feanor and the American reps will all receive 1st class tickets to the said country as well as all Europeans who want to go.
Well.....it’s nice to dream. 😺

That would be fun. I’d really like to battle it out with sks’s Incredible stormcast. I suppose I should ask everyone first before showing up and highjacking them 😸

"To take English leave"

someone took the "Bowsette" meme and gave it the Armageddon treatment.

So today I found out my 9 y.o. ADHD son, whom many write off as too much to handle, went out of his way to befriend a 5 y.o. kid who moved from the Ukraine 2 days ago.  The kid doesn't speak English, but my son decided to teach him some basic English by playing soccer with him during lunch and after school.  No one asked, no one told, he just decided he knows what being left out felt like so wanted to help.

Love my son very much.

That's a good happy story.  :smile2:

I wish I could post gifs in gifv and mp4 formats here.  The things I have in my mystery box I could share here...

to be fair mp4s work sometimes when I change the file extension to .giv but .gifv just doesnt.

I’m going to put this in the happy thread. It could have been the unhappy easily. A lot of change recently with some losses along the way. Where we moved, we were aloud  only 2 cats out of the three. My newest and favorite was on the chopping block.  We brought him in as a feral and he turned into a wonder cat. I took him to the humane society for the adoption program as he completely trusted us and those we were around. Thought he would be scooped up right away. I get a call today that he turned wild again and was headed for the gas chamber unless we took him again. Turned out he was a one family cat. He will now join me at work to become a ‘work’ cat and live at the shop as I have no other place for him. Better to live at work then be finished off. I had never planned on moving and I would have been better off to leave him wild I think.

I came up with this line while eating gummy bears at work. I think she liked it.

It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.

Last night at work was like something out of the Simpsons.
We had one customer who wanted her ice cream served in a martini glass [what next, does she want a plumb, floating in perfume, served in a mans hat]
Ontop of that; some of my work mates wanted to make a video of themselves and play it on an endless loop on the CCTV system so they could go to the pub all night. I said "I saw that in a movie; I think it was called 'The bus that couldn't slow down'"
