Love the wood grain.
The black soot at the front looks great - not sure why we dont see that more.
The High Elf chariot wheels work well - better than I expected.
Because gunners don't have to march all the time or do silly exercising. They have time to polish there pride and joy, the piece they are connected with, their primary piece of equipment.
That's why most cannon most definitly will not look like this.
The interpretation of the artist of this piece, I guess, is a piece that has seen constant action for days. I cannot think of any other reason a cannon would be that filthy by any soldiers standard.
@Chris:
First: Woodgrain is something I never attempted. I truly love what you did there.
Second: Go counter natural in thinking.... you did alot of effort on the woodgrain... but a cannon that used at the barrel and dirty overthere and so clean on the rest of the piece.... grime the chassis of the cannon a bit more would be my advise.
