Sorry. I bought a few 40x60 bases on GW website. No idea of their original use.

7th ed Skarsnik and Gobbla used that size base.

Its a great size base - i use 1 on each of my 2 hochland cannons.

Amazing work. Simply amazing. The army looks so unified together, yet each regiment is so distinct and individual. Well done!

My army is currently progressing at a very slow pace... Blame the cavalry, it takes a lot of time to get decent results on horses...

OK, this is the result of the last two months: Grand Baroness Etelka Toppenheimer, riding a unicorn, and Commander Baron Ulrich von Burnau, on a more ordinary mount.

The Baroness is a mix of several models: torso from Mordheim Sisters of Sigmar's Matriarch, legs, lance and shield from the Empire General plastic sprue, unicorn from the MM83 High elf mage, and throne from the MB15 Imperial Hero riding a Pegasus.

Before:

and after:

As for the Commander, the preparation was limited to the sculpting of a piece of armour to make the junction between the torso from the Imperial Hero MB15 and the legs of a MM66 Mounted Reiksguard.

Two-color caparison:

That's it for the moment!

Very impressiv! The conversions are very well executed. And your painting is simply magnificent, but you know that.   :icon_wink: :::cheers:::

How long does it take you to paint something like this?

Thanks, all of you!

How long does it take you to paint something like this?

The matriarch on the unicorn: about one month and a half, but I'm a slow and irregular painter...

Thanks. I have painted 4 additional knights to support Baron Ulrich von Bernau. The mounted Söllsguard is now complete (at least a first regiment).
