Okay, that wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped to be honest.

Well, then take Screamer Pink instead.  :biggriin:

Oh my god do you know how much yellow and turquoise I painted already?  :-o

Anyway, brown, yellow, purple. Base coats are on, may need to add just one more colour (probably another shade of purple) but I think I know where this is going now, thanks.

Lol glad to see the motivation.

I spent good part of the day flocking a bunch of models and working on my whip and banner khorne guys.

Here we are then... colour choices as decided by committee... you can possibly now see why brown was pretty much a given... I've always wanted to use Hormagant purple for armour, it was *almost* what I used for my Space Marine chapter... I guess I could have used more yellow, but I think this is enough!

Bonus points for anyone who knows the original miniature (there are a few conversions / changes, not least the horse). I've actually always had a huge dislike for this model, so I'm pleased to have made it into something I quite like. Some sort of mercenary captain, perhaps? Or is there a hint of Kislev about him?

@Shadespyre thats a very good looking mini my friend. Well done :eusa_clap:

Im back at painting again after a hectic period at work. So here are my 5 knights I should have painted last month. Goal for this month is to paint at least 5 more and to finish the bases and magnetize them.

And where'd that set of knights come from? :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

Bonus point to Orcyboy, well spotted. I can't be alone in thinking he was one of the rare turkeys in that Lord of The Rings range, right?

I haven't painted anything else - I've been a bit ill and at a lot of gigs when able. I may have prepped one or two* of those orcs for test painting, though...

Yeah, he's an odd one. His helmet is weird, he looks more like the pre-slotta base Chaos warriors.
I am of course excited to see what you're doing with those orcs.

Been AWOL for some time, had a sudden and unexpected change of life situation that makes the logistics of painting a bit tricky. I managed to get some decent progress on my second crossbowman unit:

Base colours and black wash done. What remains is to re-highlight the clothing and the feathers, and paint the areas that will get brown wash (skin, bowstrings and other rope bits on the crossbows).
The only good thing about 7th ed heads is that they look particularly inbred and superstitious which is perfect for Stirlanders

Managed to get 25 halberdiers and 3 demigryph knights undercoated. I think the demigryphs will be next after I'm done with the crossbowmen, so I get a change from highlighting puff and slash.

Painted saddles on the crossbowmen's horses.  And base coat of brown on the hair of my merc. captain.  Need to see if I have the old foundation purple color for some more of this on some of the men, and if so, hope it hasn't dried out.  :icon_cool:

After GW axed the Foundation paints I realised how much I loved them and chased around model shops and bought a couple of pots of each colour. Mostly they still work though one or two have been solid when I've opened them...

Will try to blast through the last couple of stray minis this weekend. The call of the Orcs is getting louder, though...

Yep, I have a bunch of the Foundation series that I picked up after they discontinued them.  Believe this is my only Hormagaunt Purple though.

They replaced them with the "Base" paints, and I've found them to be similar, even though not the same colors.  There was something different about the Foundation series though and not sure what.

Were the Foundation* paints meant to replace the declining Galactic Empire paints...?  :-D

FWIW, I'm still working on my goal, but not sure how far I will get. I've got 2 of 4 heroes painted, and 5 half-orc infantry (though they were not part of the original 24 I had planned on -- they are still 5 half-orcs and count for something!) Not sure I'm going to get to much more... I've stalled with a creative block on color schemes for the remaining 2 heroes, and it's unlikely I'll get the regiment of 24 done. (I'll admit that I've mentally switched gears already, and started prepping minis to paint for Deadcember. )

Yes, we all thought it, but no-one else found the need to write it...  :eusa_wall: :eusa_clap:

The pull of the next project is always strong, I've got 70 odd orcs on my table already. Meant to be finishing TWO other miniatures, but...

So after last game I left some of my models at a friend's house. That means I won't be able to finish my warboss this month. In happier news, I rummaged trough some boxes I once bought of someone and found out I own 10 old Black Orcs. The standard bearer will make a fine Nob with Waaagh banner and the other 9 will be Nobz. So instead of the warboss I'd like to convert and paint 4 of the Black Orcs into Nobz.
