Show us your hero: army general, hero, a special character
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:17:12 PM »
And because any hero can be the army general, you can show not just the current general but also any other hero/champion, that might suit that role, even if he/she doesn't right now.  Like grandmaster, archlector, grand teogonist, captain, elector count, Karl Franz and other special characters, especially those.

In short any (painted) hero that is not covered by other show us threads.

I have posted this elsewhere, but I am unjustifiably proud of it (he did come second in one of the monthly competitions, I think - he certainly placed) so here it is again. Your fault, Darius (as Alexander was wont to say . . . )

Here is my Templar Grand Master - Count Vladimir Hunyadi of Sylvania-in-Stirland, member of the Order of the Dragon by birth and now First Arch-Warpriest and Templar Grand Master of the Order of the Eightfold Cross of Melite, Champion of Myrmidia, Beloved of the Goddess and First Son of the Maiden.

As usual, click for larger versions of the pictures (I have gone for small thumbnails with a couple of selected images at the bottom reproduced with larger thumbnails).

If anyone wants to see some WIP shots clicking here will cause the information to magically appear upon the screen of your analytical engine.

For some odd reason I always this Mordheim Captain for my general.

I guess its because he is not too fancy looking.

@Darknight: One of the best looking generals and my favorite conversion of that mini.
@Battlekruse: Your general is showing some character. No wonder he's in command.

And here's mine , Grandmaster of The Knights of the blazing sun, the old metal fig, that I finally painted not so far back - after it had been laying in the closet for some years.
This is a new pic, that I took with my new photo camera, so the details should be better viewed than in the old pic.

It's painted, though the base needs finishing in this pic. (It has been done in a basic way.) I am considering doing a more elaborate caparison on the horse, and maybe adding a cape on the general, but Haven't quite made the decision yet.

My General; Justius De'parque.

Great stuff, guys! Here is my contribution, the General from my nascent Altdorf army, Grand Marshal von Breihaupt.

[I apologise for the i) not embedding the image ii) the picture quality, as a student I lack a decent camera :P]

EDIT: I figured it out!

Great looking generals guys, here's mine. Still requires a proper base, I will be using the statue from the garden of Morr for this.

Agreed, I love white, but am terrified of using it. Why my latest color scheme barely uses it. Yours is great!

Here are my recently completed (tonight  :icon_biggrin: ) Talabheim General and BSB. I followed the cover art pretty closely as a guide - not very imaginative, but I liked the look. Warm Regards, Dean

Here's a Seneschal that I did for my Cult of Ulrich army a while back:

That's silly! Playin' with il' statues, pretendin' they're fightin'!  Why not just get a bunch of real goblins and lettem whack it out?

Really good one. I like your space wolf approach on the shoulder armor with the wolf icon. Is it converted anyhow or it's a regular fig?  GJ.

Thanks! It's mostly a stock figure who's name escapes me.  I added the Minotaur head to his cloack to make it the cloak of Anraheir and enhanced his hair as you have to have wild hair if you want to join my Cult of Ulrich army.  The army's sigil is the white wolf on a red/black background.

Isn't it Ulli from the Mordheim range. - with some conversion.

Ulli and Marquand I think - the other guy had puffy sleeves and a rapier.

Motivation to get off my arse and paint both of them came from the monthly painting competitions held by this very forum over the last ~2 years. So thanks a lot for making my army better! :)
