She does seem a popular mini - and doesn't appear for sale very often - not quite as rare as the Augur, but a better model IMO.

I have only the one Augur, but 2 Berthas - though mine aren't in sealed blisters - which probably contributes to the higher price. There are some collectors who keep stuff in the sealed packaging - bloody nerds .............  :engel:

Thats insane.

Also, one of the bidders is very odd - bidding  £3.99, then £14.97 - shill bidding possibly?
Cheer up, could be worse.

OK, it's been years since I've sold on eBay. So I wanted to look up fees, rules, etc. I've just spent half the evening trying to find my way around eBay's convoluted web page, downloading one of their "helper" apps which continuously popped up errors and security warnings... I want to stab someone in the eyes. I hate eBay. I planned on posting everything tonight. Instead I just wasted an evening.

Damnit!

I sold some of those a while ago and they didn't go for as much as that!

You're obviously not doing enough shill bidding.

............. especially as a very very generous fellow member included one in a swap deal we did recently ......................  :engel:

and does anyone recognise this?

I cannot place it - this was the auction stating it was GW

Of course!

It's the standard bearer from Braganza's Besiegers (DoW crossbow unit with pavaises).

Wait, someone paid £7.30 for that?

Ah - that possibility did occur to me, but the auction said Empire, and I have a box and blisters of Braganzas - unmade - and I was just too lazy to go and delve into the dark depths of the cupboards ........  :engel:

But of course you do!

I think they are still available from the GW site, so I'm not sure why anyone would pay so much for the standard bearer. He doesn't even have his pavaise!

maybe because they will soon get OOP? You never know with GW.
One of the big wigs... once told them "If a household doesn't have an income of $70,000, we don't consider them a GW target customer."

Maybe, but they aren't out of production at the moment. So there's no reason to pay so much for them!

anyone who spends £18 on 1 single infantry figure has too much money.

Well it was two figures - one on the other's back   :engel:

Actually I think you can just see the word 'cavalry' written on the tab if you look at the enlarged view  :biggriin:

The Estalian did finish at £15 as well.

The halflings aren't even especially nice. They are just old and relatively uncommon.

And the Estalians are ugly!

Well they are a tad small compared to later incarnations, but I won't be selling mine anyway.

And the Estalians are ugly!

Well you are entitled to your opinion, though there are many that would disagree with you, and I refer you to the response I gave a few lines above .....  :engel:

I actually do like the old halflings, and have twelve different ones.

I never liked the Estalians though. They are nowhere near as good as the proper Empire models from the same range. People only want them because they are rare... and they are rare because no one liked them at the time they were available!

Estalians are being produced by Gamezone., about 3times cheaper. What's the point then?

Well, exactly.

Or there's the TAG range of renaissance Spanish, which are even cheaper.

I quite like the halfling, but not £18.00!

I guess it's like any luxury item- my dad spends hundreds of pounds on proper Scotch.

Just I'm not in a position to spend like that.

Jeezuz F. Christ, I hate ebay.

After spending forever wandering the labyrinth to turn on the option that will supposedly allow me to link to my own images hosted on photobucket (and ad each step telling me they recommend copying to the ebay server... for a fee) I keep getting errors at the end telling me that that ebay feature is not responding, try again later. Later still didn't work. Listings are up, but gimped.

I hate ebay.

On the funny side, I almost listed an OOP 40k inquisitor for $50 instead of $5. Then I would have really been deserving of an entry on this thread. ;)

At some point I just got sick of ebay and writing dry descriptions... http://cgi.ebay.com/Marnius-Calgar-Lord-Macragge-Ultramarines-/230606000186?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b130503a
