He did not say he painted these himself guys.

But anywayz mad props to the painter though I think I'd like regular metals better than this NMM and I think the word 'Empire' on a banner from a unit with such close ties to Ulric, Wolves, Middenheim/land is a bit strange IMO.

Still a thousand times better than what I could do but hey, everybody is a critic!

Well Alexi_Z is something of a celebrity on coolminiornot so I'd say she did these.

BAWTRM: Remember that Alexi promised us she'd paint some Empire minis too? Guess she's made good on that now :-D

Awesome work, ms. Melnik. The palette actually makes them look cold!
I don't know what Caesar thought when he got to the Ides of March
Don't know what Houdini bought when he went to the store
But I sure do miss the eighties

Interestingly enough GW do NOT show the gold and silver entrants on their review on the website ..............

.............. maybe they are echoing some of the coolmini comments from others who were there?

I would imagine they would have to be pretty spectacular to justify this being third.
But then as someone with a CoU army maybe I am biased.

What is it with Russians being such damned great painters???

Yes, curse you! Hardly a single english person won any awards at GD UK! Maybe we should just try harder next year (like that would help  )

Absloutely stunning, and deserved to win gold by a large margin. At least GD France saw sense!

Oh I know Alexi_Z can paint! That Valten is absolutely great IMO.

It was just that she didn't say that she actually painted the regiment in her first post, so I assumed she didn't want to take the credit for somebody else's work!

Guess I was wrong......

Yes I did mean you ...............

I think that mounted WP is firstly a wonderful conversion, never mind what we know it's going to end up like when painted fully.

GH; Yeah I remember that awesome Be'lakor, I saw these at Games Day and they really are spectacular, and I saw your Valten on TWF, a lot of people didn't seem to like the NMM that much never understood why though.

Stunning work, especially the Guard.

Out of curiousity, what did you use to paint the armor of the Guard?  I love the color scheme of them.

Tsar Etharion got the population into it in about 1901, IIRC... They traded amazingly painted minis for Sweden.

Amazing! I'm buying a unit of my own, and painting 'em like this.
