In January, I had placed an order with Maelstrom Games, a rather big one. Didn't hear from them for weeks, then I wrote them. Answer:
"Some of the stuff you ordered is unavailable. We'll split the order, and you get the rest as soon as we have it."
Okay, so far, no problem. I would have liked being told without actually having to ask, but hey, no need to get angry.
Almost two months later, there's still no sign of the rest of the order (amounting to about GBP 50). So I ask again. Answer:
"Sorry, still not available. You get a refund. The refund goes to the moneyback (their internal bonus program). Since the money gets refunded, we deduct GBP 28 from your moneyback."
So essentially, they want me to pay GBP 28 for merchandise I never got. And it's not a mistake either; it's both in the mail and in my user account. Nice try, guys.
