There are some customers you just cant please.
The other night, one customer informed the head chef that she was lactose, fructose and gluten intolerant and thusly couldn't eat anything on the menu and that she needed him to make her a special meal. The head chef exploded once 'Mrs allergic to everything' she was out of earshot.

I don't blame him. Come on, I understand being intolerant to this and this, but this is seriously dumb.

Just finished watching ‘Born in China’  about cranes, monkeys, panda bears and snow leopards of China. Great documentary until it finished the snow leopards story. I’ve raved about snow leopards before somewhere here but to me they are the most beautiful creature to prowl the earth and the star of this doc was the most beautiful cat of the snow kitty’s. Needless to say it ended badly and as stupid as this is it shook me up. Wife who’s pretty good with phsycology says it probably open some other door but what the hell.


Not the leopard in the movie but pretty cool all the same.

I used a photo of a miniature's face as my avatar on a club website recently, and when we met up for the first time a guy said "Oh yeah, I recognise you from your avatar"! In all seriousness. (Found out later the guy had bad eyesight - I am glad I didn't say anything at the time, or make fun of his strange comment.)

The local, independent games store shut down. Looks like for good this time. I don't know what I'm going to do for glues and paints now as no other shop in town sells the stuff.

That truly sucks.

My guess as to why it shut down again [the fourth time in three years] is due to the sheer ineptitude of the staff, chinbeards who harass other customers and boneheaded store policies. It was usually only open 2-3 days a week and then for only a few hours at the most.

Doesn’t sound like a viable business plan to me. A few days a week for a few hours would have to have a large volume of sales to compinsate for the time closed. Lease, payroll, utilities, taxes, insurance without going into profit ends just like you say.
