Good to hear you don't have Leu, that shit is nasty.
Thanks, I was really relieved as well. My doctor didn't say that that was the other option during the physical because it probably was mono/kissing disease, to not scare me. Unfortunately, my mom is also a doctor, so I found out anyway XD
What is the disease you have known for? Besides the obvious urge to kiss people and things.
Well, it's not dangerous, just really annoying. It makes you tired and gives you throat pain, can also lead to loss of appetite etc. It's presumably transferred via saliva contact -> kissing disease. The degree to which you are tired and/or your throat hurts differs- I'm for example not that tired, I just can't go to uni and have to take one or two naps during the day. My throat, on the other hand, is burning out of my head and I dread every time I have to swallow food, as that hurts even more. But some people are tired to the extent where they can't get out of bed, which can last for months or even years.
So in conclusion, it's not a dangerous disease, just annoying. And it varies from person to person how bad it is. The bitch is that you don't know how it will affect you until it at some point stops affecting you and you can't do anything about it.
But eh, I'll manage. I just hope it won't last months and months.
