12% is a massive proportion, and they are only the middleground of crazed religious republicans.
I bet less than 1% of Britain is BNP.
The religious attitude of America is a bit backwards.
Religious craziness is probably more prevalent in American than anywhere else in the world which isn’t Islamic. and it effects all of America.
creationism in school. say wut.
Now don't get me wrong here, there are so many things wrong with the WBC, I'm just being devil's advocate.
What's wrong with creationism in school when atheistic or theistic evolution is also taught? These all require faith to believe in since evolution isn't directly observable. Don't get me wrong I can poke some pretty big hole's in creationism (the easiest being 'how can you use the bible as a scientific account when it never claims to be?) but it's no less flawed than atheistic or theistic evolution.
The religious atitude everywhere in the world is a bit backwards:
-Anders the crazy Norwegian (was his belief in a non-islamic europe not akin to religious fanatacism?)
-Dawkins and social darwinism: this belief is certainly religious in nature: using the theory of evolution to come to a conclusion that God, a metaphysical being, can be dis-proven by physical theories. That certainly requires faith.
-Atheism: Believing that there is no God and then making your own judgments about the how the world runs requires the same faith (in your self as a reasonable and logical medium) as any religious person.
The point I'm trying to make here is that human beings aren't totally logical, we all make judgments based on faith, which is why there are opposing views and parties. Sure the crazies are annoying but without them we wouldn't have that diversity that makes life interesting.
Variety is the spice of life!
Wait this is an unhappy thread:
WBC can suck my d**k.
